Features:
Security cable & combination lock allows you to lock the laptop case or to immovable objects. This security cable is very effective when you have to leave your gear for a period of time in a media room, wedding hall, hotel room, or other open area.
With the new front flap with security clip, you can turn your back on your backpack safely knowing that your laptop case is secured in your backpack.
Feature #1 Perfect for travel – goes in the overhead of small planes. Unlike other photo backpacks, when the laptop case is removed, the main backpack reduces both in size and weight, which can be critical when getting your gear onto aircraft of different makes.
Feature #5 The Artificial Intelligence 15 laptop case is included. There is an organizer in the front pocket and it is bellowed so bulkier items like an AC adapter can be carried.
Feature #6 If the laptop case is not being used, the front pocket is very useful for jackets, books, and other items that need to be carried.
Feature #7 This size meet all international requirements for carry on size. With the laptop case removed, it will fit into the overhead of all planes INCLUDING small CRJ planes.
Feature #8 In a pinch, it’s important that that your backpack fits under the seat. Clearance under the seat varies from 8.5 – 10.5” depending on the plane. In this photo, the laptop case is in the front pocket.
Feature #10 Although the backpack easily fits into the airline boxes (without the laptop case inserted), very few passengers are actually requested to do so. Usually the total weight of the backpack is the greater potential problem. By storing the small laptop case under your seat you will have access to the items you need during your flight.
Feature #11 The inside depth is 6.5”, so there is no problem putting pro-size DSLRs inside the bag, with or without the lenses attached. The Airport Antidote is configured from the start to carry one pro-size DSLR with a lens attached. To carry a backup camera, simply reconfigure the interior dividers or store the backup body without the lens attached.
Shown with Nikon 200 f2 This backpack will hold lenses like the Nikon 200 f2 or 300 2.8 lenses with or without the SLR body attached. It is quite surprising what this small backpack will hold as demonstrated in this photo – two SLR bodies, two strobes, a power pack, and three lenses, one being the short and fat 200 f2 lens. The rectangular shape of the bag and the fact that it is 6.5” deep are the reasons why such a large amount of gear can be put into this small backpack. Backpacks that have sexy curves look cool, but
Feature #12 Although it takes up a huge amount of space, a 400 2.8 can be carried with other lenses. This works well when carrying another shoulder bag as a carry on.
Feature #13 The inside flap has see-through laminated PU mesh pockets for various accessories such as note pads, energy bars, memory card wallets, instruction books, and other items.
Feature #14 A business card holder is located directly under the padded handle. It can also be used to store extra business cards while traveling.
Feature #15 A zippered top pocket is essential for passports, tickets, and other items that need to be accessed quickly. Especially handy just prior to going through security, all the extra items in your pockets can be put into this top pocket.
Feature #16 Our shoulder harness is specifically designed for photographers, with just the right amount of padding, two stretch pockets on the front, two D rings to attach accessories, and an adjustable sternum strap.
Feature #18 Both shoulder straps have a stretchable pocket that holds cell phones, sunglasses, memory card wallets, and other items. After the item is removed, the pocket goes flat.
Feature #19 Some photographers prefer waistbelts; others do not. Our waistbelt is removable via a metal buckle located on the pad.
Feature #20 The handle on the bottom of the bag is particularly useful when lifting the bag up to put in into the back of a car or into the overhead compartment of a plane.
Feature #21 A rock-climbing carabiner can be attached to the side strap to attach hats, knee pads, gloves, and other necessary items that may become wet or dirty.
Feature #22 The backpack comes with all the straps and instructions to attach a tripod or monopod to the side of the bag.
Feature #23 The main zipper sliders have metal holes on the front so that a separate lock can be threaded through them. If you are traveling via airline, make sure you buy a TSA approved lock.
Feature #24 The side stretch pocket can also be used for water bottles and other items that need to be carried on the outside of the backpack.

I love this bag. No matter how small the airplane, I can get this bag under the seat. No hassles with flight attendants.

Filled this amazing bag with a Nikon D3x, D3, 200-400mm, 24-70mm, 14-24mm, 2 teleconverters, SB-900, and STILL had room for CF card case, batteries, and cleaning gear. My MacBook Pro 15 fit nicely in its laptop bag. An absolutely perfect bag when you're stuck flying on comuter jets. Don't think . . . just buy this bag!

This is an awesome bag. I recently travelled from Perth, Australia, to San Jose, California, with transfers in Auckland, New Zealand and Los Angeles. Australian and New Zealand airlines are known for being fairly strict on weight limits for hand luggage, and being able to slide the laptop out allowed me to slide through the checkin with ease. The laptop sleeve didn't even need to be opened to pass through any airline security checkpoints, even those manned by TSA. (For reference, the sleeve contained a 15" laptop and the included strap, nothing else) Meanwhile, the Antidote v2.0 was able to hold my Canon EOS 1D Mk III (fitted with Canon 24-105 f/4.0L), a 580EX, Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L, laptop mains charger and car charger, GPS unit and i

I am rating the first version of this bag which I just love. It looks small, but you can carry a TON of gear in it. I too love the included laptop bag and use it often, though not with the Antidote per se. It also looks like Think Tank improved the front portion of the bag, which was a odd design on the old one. Great bag!!!

I cant say enough about this bag!!! I travel with tons of equipment in it and the straps are really well padded. My bag weighs well over 10 lbs. but feels like nothing on my back! Also, the laptop case that comes with it is amazingly useful. FYI The gear is a D60, D70, 55-200, 70-200 2.8, 18-55, 18-70, 35 1.8, 50 1.4, and an 800mm mirror lens. Plus, a white/ grey card, 13" Macbook Pro, chargers, cables, and other things. They all fit in this bag!!! Dont even think, buy this bag.

While there is no perfect single all purpose bag! This comes close for travel. I had a few main objectives for buying this bag. 1) It holds "everything" I need well and protected. 2) It will fit under the seat for US air travel and overhead on commuters. 3) Able to slide Macbook Pro quick and easy for airport security checks. *** Like all Think Tank products the craftsmanship is second to none...great zippers and the design is well thought out. It can be heavy, but remains comfy on the back. Hold **pods on the side not the front! Just the right amount of pockets...more is less IMO. I really like how you can remove and or stash waistbelt, tri/monopod mount. Superb the outer handles. This is a great travel bag! Super duty built. The laptop bag is worth $50 alone. I looked at the Shape Shifter (great city bag?) but most times need more space for travel. Although the Shape Shifter would be another great bag to have. Antidote V2 is a top professional photographers choice, an excellent bag for distance and destination travel. I have had and do have many backpacks, this one ranks very high on the list.

Just received it today, and it fits all my gear - Nikon D700 with grip, 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, and a 35MM lenses with ease. Plus, GPS, tripod, filters, etc. I also have a 17" Mac Book Pro which will fit if you replace the case with a neoprene cover by Incase. I tried out at bags from Lowepro, Kata, and Billingham with my gear but this was the best organized and met my needs for travel, urban and landscape photography. Love this bag.

I switched out my old bag as it was to big for Ryanairs specifications. This bag is practical, but I've still got the same problem, it does not fit Ryanair specifications when I put my laptop in. Most of the time it goes okay, but so it did with my old one. So I'm not as happy with my buy as I would have wanted to be.

Awesome-awesome bag! It may look small but it has large capacity for all your gears. No decision no more! Get this bag! What I have in my bag: Nikon D3 with 24-70mm attached, D300, 70-200mm, 50mm, 35mm, Tele-converter, 2 SB-900, SU-800 cleaning kit, etc....etc...etc.

I love this bag. It fits my entire wedding kit and I've always been able to fit it under the seat in front of me when flying. It can also fit an Elinchrom Quadra strobe pack, with spare battery and two heads, pro body and a couple of pro lenses for portraits shoots. Never been checked. That said, I really wish it had a way of streamlining the straps so they don't snag when handling it like luggage. Also, there isn't a comfortable way of attaching it to the handle of a wheeled case/roll-a-board.

Awesome, nothing to say more. First downside: it's still DOES NOT fit Ryanair 20 cm thickness limit, with AI 15" laptop case. Anyway, there is not much chance for me to fly with Ryanair too often, and it depends on security personnel... last time I've dealt with Ryanair it was OK with 13,5 kilos and definitely oversized bag PLUS fanny pack... but Tampere to Paris seems to be not so strictly controlled. Here's the equipment my AU 2.5 holds: EOS 1D Mark IIn with 17-40/4L attached hood reversed; Sirui T-1205X carbon fiber tripod with kit ballhead INSIDE without case; EF 70-200/2.8L IS hood reversed; Sigma 50/1.4EX; Sigma 12-24/4.5-5.6EX; EF 2x II Extender; Kenko 25 macro ring; spare NP-E3 battery; DELL XPS M1330 laptop in AI v.2.0 15" case... cables, chargers and other paraphernalia... and some cubic centimeters for couple of t-shirts, socks and undies. Though I usually carry three lenses in a fanny pack, so with it I also have space for Quantum Turbo 2x2 battery, which leaves nothing more to carry for me on a short trips and assigments, given I don't need my ultra-compact sleeping bag, which attaches nicely below and the resulting construction is still fine with any airline except Ryanair. So don't think twice, just buy it.

I've had an Airport Antidote, version 1, for at least three plus years. This bag has been packed to the gills (always 2 backs, a 100-400mm or 70-200 2.8 lens and lots of other gear) and I've flown to Chili, Italy, Germany, the UK, Kenya, Tanzania and other places in the states such as Alaska. I have always gotten the bag on the plane. Nothing has failed on the bag. I don't usually fly with a laptop, but on the one occasion I did, I separated the two items at check in and treated the laptop sleeve as a "purse." No one mentioned a thing. Even Lufthansa, weird as they can be, seem to accept this bag--especially slung off one shoulder. If they had ever weighed it, it would have exceeded their 8 kg limit by double….but they never have. For about 5 years I lived half time in Germany and flew there every month, so my sense is you're safe with this bag as a carry on…except for Ryanair and, you know, maybe it's time to stop flying on that airline. In any case the bag is a gem as a carry on.

This is a GREAT bag. I have the Airport Antidote V1.0 and V2.0. The capacity is amazing. V1.0 carries a body, 500mm, 70-200vr and a pair of hydrophobias. The V2.0 has a body,17-35mm, 28-70mm,105vr,converters, filters, mac book pro, head lamp, binoculars, etc. Great for travel in regional and light aircraft. Very well built and thought out. My bags have been from Bush planes to Boats. Virtually bullet proof. Not a great all day backpack suspension for hiking. However it is comfy for a couple of hours. Buy one, or two....

The bag is awesome. We loaded it with all the gear we had and went travelling for a year. Never had ANY problems with the bag. The lock I, must say, broke twice on us. It was replaced and broke again, so I'm hesitant to use it as the last time we had to use a cutter which luckily was available at that time...

What can I say about this bag? It's the most perfect bag I've had for my needs, I am an underwater and wildlife photographer so traveling is a big thing for me with lots of heavy kit. No matter what my needs are I can fit my underwater housing and all the extra strobes, leads and arms in accompanied by my body and lenses, also the massive bonus of this being hand luggage means I know my kit will arrive in one piece and I have easy access to my macbook whilst on the plane. I also find it works great for everyday use, the build quality is unmatched, the water resistance holds up great I have not even had to break out of the supplied rain cover yet I found it works that well! A must have for anybody who has lots of kit they need to take around with them whether they are a wedding photographer who needs multiple camera bodys or a wildlife photographer that needs to take larger lenses, rain covers and tripods stop reading and order this bag!

I bought the Airport Antidote 2 after a lot of online checking of reviews, for an extra bag to back-up my Lowepro Mini Trekker. I am very pleased withe the quality of the bag - the best quality bag I have had - but there are a few niggles that reduce its ease of use to me. The main one is that the front pocket cannot be securely closed. I do not use the pocket for a computer - I use it (or want to) to hold pens, keys, paper notebook, iPhone and all that stuff. The flap does not stop small loose items from falling out the top corners. A zipped pocket would be much more useful, and it could be left unzipped if there was a need to move a computer rapidly. The second niggle is that the pocket is only designed to take the computer bag - the pocket does not have any compartments that can take (and close on) a wallet or any other small items. The computer bag by the way is amazingly good - I gave it to my wife who uses it to carry her computer and gear to school. But the computer bag in the front pocket without a computer still takes up all the space. And the final niggle is the fast release catch on the front pocket - it's useless. It doesn't have a secure catch (a slight pressure against other luggage opens it); there is no way to lock it; and I have yet to find a way to adapt it without destroying the bag. My ideal front catch would be a small TSA compliant lockable strap (like the pacsafe strapsafe http://www.pacsafe.com/www/index.php?_room=3&_action=detail&id=71) but smaller. I use one of these on luggage when traveling, and it is a winning design. The main compartment is terrific; the backstraps are very comfortable; the extra handles are a winner at airports and for lifting generally; and did I say that the quality of construction is good? It's better than good.
