Features:
Feature #1 At 14" x 22" x 9", the Airport Security roller meets USA domestic airlines’ carry-on size requirements. It fits easily into overhead compartments either straight in or horizontally.  On smaller commuter or regional aircraft, 14" x 22" x 9" is still the legal carry-on size, but the Airport Security may need to be gate-checked due to limited storage space inside the airplane.  Check out these free articles about traveling with photo equipment written by Doug Murdoch.
Feature #2 A TSA combination lock secures the main compartment zipper.  There are many instances when photographers must leave behind some or all of their gear while on location. It is absolutely vital for the remaining gear to be secured from theft.  The rear security cable prevents the entire bag from being stolen altogether when the cable is locked around an immovable object.
Feature #4 The rear security cable chains the Airport Security V2.0 to immovable objects.  This cable is built into the framework of the rolling bag.  At times, it may be necessary to leave gear for a period of time in a media room, wedding hall, hotel room, or other open area.  Locking the bag's main compartment, then locking the rear security cable to a fixed object can prevent the bag and its contents from being easily stolen.  A small TSA travel padlock is included for convenience but any padlock is compatible with the cable.
Feature #3 The front security cable and integrated combination lock fastens an Artificial Intelligence 15 V2.0 or Artificial Intelligence 17 V2.0 laptop case inside the stretchable front pocket of the roller. This cable and lock reduce the chances of computer theft while the bag is being rolled from one location to another. To completely conceal the laptop from view and for best security, use the Airport Security Low Divider Set to carry the laptop inside the main compartment and locked up with the primary TSA combination lock.
Feature #5 The security plate may allow your lost or stolen bag to be returned! Before using your bag, register your unique serial number on our website at www.thinktankphoto.com/lostandfound_registration.aspx
Feature #6 Holds a full DSLR kit.  Our patent pending rolling bag design creates a very deep bottom section—so deep you can put in a 70-200 f2.8 straight up and down in the bag.  A 400 f/2.8, 500 f/4, or a Canon 600 f/4lens can also fit with hood reversed and the leather lens cap on. Because of this unique design, more gear can be carried in the Airport Security as compared to other brands.  (Photo courtesy of Brad Mangin)
Feature #7

If you wear out the wheels, we provide a free kit so you can replace the wheels. The wheels, being located on the outside of the bag, make it very stable when rolled. The wheel housings are extra high, to protect your case when going up curbs.

Feature #8 Emergency shoulder straps.  There are circumstances, such as stairs and gravel, when a roller does not work. That’s precisely why we include “emergency” shoulder straps. Although this roller is not intended to be used regularly as a backpack, the straps are there just in case. They are removable, allowing you to store them in the main compartment.
Feature #9 Monopod And Tripod Holder.  Both monopods and tripods can be attached two different ways, either by putting two legs into the stretchable pocket or by using the Tripod Cup that comes with the roller (pictured).
Feature #10 A seam-sealed, waterproof rain cover (like an outdoor jacket) is included. An expandable section fits over a tripod when one is attached to the bag.
Feature #11 Optional Artificial Intelligence 15 & 17 laptop cases slide in front pocket. The advantage is that the roller looks smaller, even when the laptop case is inside the pocket. If for some reason you do need to weigh the bag, you can remove the laptop case, making the roller lighter and smaller. Also, when you get to your seat on the plane, you can pull out the laptop case and put it on your seat before putting the roller in the overhead bin.
Feature #12 Front Pocket Organizer The zippered front pocket can be used for storing items like pens, pencils, card wallets, notepads, and more.
Feature #13

For easy identification, a business card holder is located directly under the handle. It holds quite a few cards. There is also a zippered pocket under the handle that can hold your passport and other items.

Feature #14 The Airport Security Low Divider set can be used in place of the standard dividers. These low dividers will allow up to 17” laptops to fit inside the Airport Security.
Overnight Config The included dividers allow you to configure the bag to carry the standard trilogy of F/2.8 lenses, two professional bodies, up to two flashes, with enough space leftover for a basic change of clothing and toiletries.

Overall Product Rating:

Christmas in September? Perhaps. But I just got back from a trip to find a cardboard box full of glory waiting for me by the front door. What was inside has left me virtually speechless. The urge to rest on cliche when describing the Airport Security Roller 2.0 is great. Cliches are easier to formulate, which is very important when your virtual lexicon, dictionary and thesaurus between your ears goes spontaneously blank. Forget the build quality. This bag is a tank and something I will hand down to my children. Otherwise they are prying it from my hands. Seriously, the attention that went into putting this roller together is flat out insane. But it is the design touches that impress me the most. The locks, the tripod lashes, ea

This is the premier rolling case for Wedding shooters. I have been using these since V1 was brand new and have been totally satisfied since day one. The V2 case is totally dialed in for the needs of a pro location shooter. Both of my cases have been worked hard for years now and they just keep rolling along as they did on day one. Think Tank makes the best camera bags out there!

I purchased the rolling bag for a 10 day trip to Europe. It helped me through the airports and treks to the hotels and shoots. Now I find my self using the bag everywhere I go to hold all my equipment. This bag is a back saver and a great addition for my equipment. I highly recommend this bag as necessary equipment.

I use this roller together with the Airport check in. I travel about 10 times a year internationally. I LOVE this product, it's comfortable and can hold tons of equipment. The security cable is very useful. The only problem with it is that my shiatsu therapist do not make any money on me after I started using it instead of a backpack... Highly recommended!

I travel everyday by aircraft to someplace, I've been looking for a carry-on that was well protected and I could carry my 5DII, a couple of lens, a flash, a light meter and the usual odds n ends, and still have enough room for a change of clothes and toiletries... I like to travel light. I've tried all the side loading backpacks with the triangular tops, wheeled suitcases etc. but nothing really worked. It was either too small to carry anything, too large to fit the overhead or offered zero protection for the contents! Then I found Think Tank and their Airport-Security V2... It is everything I wanted and then some. The hook n loop panels allow me to adjust my load. I can carry more clothes and less camera or more camera less clothes!

I used the Airport Security 2.0 on my trip to Africa and was quite concerned with the international travel. The bag was easily accepted on every plane and fit in all over head compartments. The quality is unsurpassed and the customer service is the best that I have encountered in years. A big thanks to Daniel.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!!

Excellent product. With the optional low-divider set, the bag can be configured in numerous ways to hold, organize, and protect your camera gear and laptop. The design and construction are superb and if the need ever arose, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.

I purchased this on a recent trip to the US as a replacement for an aging and battle scarred Tamrac Roller. Having used it on several shoots my main 2 gripes are with the way the lid opens and "hinges" on the short edge. As there are no stays it means the lid is lying on the ground gathering dirt etc. Also with the lid open fully, the zippered pockets would be better off the other way up as opening them usually ends up with small items spilling onto the floor. My major concern is that the case does not offer enough protection for those situations where you have to gate check it at an airport because its too big to go onboard. On the return trip to the UK, I had to take a plane from Ohio to Chicago and had to gate check it. When I got it back in Chicago the top lcd on a 1d mk4 was cracked and an 85L lens destroyed :-( I've had to gate check the Tamrac numerous times and never had a problem - I'm just sorry I dropped it in the trash when I bought the TT :-( For the record, I'm not blaming ThinkTank as it was my choice to have it go into the hold.

This is the standard. I don't go anywhere without this case. Either rolling or as a backpack! Peter Holcombe http://www.holcombephotography.com/

I am an underwater photographer, and this is unquestionably the best carry on bag I have owned. Camera, housing, strobes, sync cables, cleaning gear, and three lenses all fit. The V 2.0 has stood up to the requisite security searches in Oman, Dubai, Hawaii, Bahamas, Ecuador, Miami, and Seattle. Superbly designed product! Dan Clements www.e-clements.com

The craftsmanship of this bag is second-to-none! While I do not believe it is perfect (yet), V2 is just about there. Never before have I been impressed by a camera bag... until now. There are a few tiny gripes but it's just a personal opinion so I'll save those for suggestions directly to ThinkTank. I do not think I will purchase any new bags unless they're made by ThinkTank.

I purchased my Airport Security V2.0 a few months ago at the recommendations of MANY friends. I simply could not be happier. The bag is lightweight, but tough, and the perfect bag for a wedding photographer. I love all of the security features, the convenience, the pockets, everything! Definitely one of my best investments yet.

Well I got to give this rolling camera case 5 stars although I just got it and have only used it on a couple of jobs. Where do I begin? I guess that it's a Think Tank product and everything about it is so well thought out with such great attention to detail. It fits everything I need on me daily shoots and as a working photog. it's great to have everything with you and know that I can put it overhead if needed. At first I was worried it might not fit everything but after using the endless dividers supplied it fits so much and so well. The added features are also wonderful and that's where I found it to surpass it's rivals. So if you need a great professional rolling case that can actually turn into a backpack (though it would be way too heavy for a real hike) go for the Airport Security... It's simply the best in it's class.

The reason for the 3 stars is due to the way the flap or lid opens. Any wedding photographer know that we are given so little space to work at a venue and we have to put our bag parallel to a wall in a corner somewhere. With the flap opening on the short side it is far less useful than if the bag opened on the long side therefore opening towards the wall so that we can put our cameras to the right or left of the bag when changing lenses. With the bags current lid opening, it's a constant annoyance.

The only issue I have with this bag is the lid opening direction (and insufficient padding for the lid) as noted by other reviewers. I just got back from a 15 day China photography tour and I packed 1 Hasselblad H1 with CF II 39MP back and 50-110mm zoom lens attached. Second camera was Nikon D3x with 24-70mm F2.8 lens attached and finally a D700 with 85mm F1.4 attached. I always travel with my camera's ready to shoot. In the bag also a Nikon 70-200mm F2.8 VR and Hasselblad HC 150N lens stacked on end. It's a bit of a push for the Nikon 70-200mm with the lens shade but I used an older "flat" lens cap to save about 3/16" of height. There was still sufficient room for all chargers, spare batteries, memory cards, filters and cables. The full 45lbs made it safely across the Pacific and on 3 domestic flights in the overhead compartments, perfect fit on all planes ... the weight exceeded by far the 11lbs domestic China flights limit ;-) I also carried the Urban Disguise 60 onboard for my computer, iPad, power adaptors, Nikon D7000 with 24-120mm F4.0 lens attached, Nikon P7000 in pouch and my hard drives. Not a single question asked in any boarding situation on the 5 flights. The lid of this bag could use a redesign, more padding needed (I pad the outside pocket ... ) and the opening should be lengthwise as the TSA lock suggests ... I did use the backpack straps on this trip and they are not comfortable for long treks (2 hours+) on steep terrain. The straps will cut into your shoulder but in a pinch, they will do. Not a real complaint as these straps were not designed for long backpack use anyhow as I understand it. Rudi A www.amedeusphoto.com

WOW! This bag hold a TON of gear. I shoot wedding films with a DSLR, and this is just a priceless bag. I can carry 2 bodies (5d mk2 and 7d), 6 lenses including some primes, and zooms including a 70-200 2.8, audio equipment (2 shotgun mics, 2 wireless sets, and a portable audio recorder), batteries, chargers, and various little extras. Simply amazing how much this bag will hold. My only gripe is the handle seems a little flimsy. You definitely shouldn't pick up the bag by this handle even for a second. Also, not sure if this is really a con but the bag gets pretty heavy when you pack it full of gear! Mine weighs around 40lb, which is pretty close to the weight limit on some airlines.

Superior construction? Check. Big capacity? Check. Plenty of useful features? Check. Like all the other ThinkTank products I own, it's clearly the result of evolutionary design, done by working photographers. My favorite "I'm so glad they thought of that" feature is the emergency shoulder straps: they saved the day when my parking spot was separated from the shooting venue by a long gravel trail.

I bought my Think Tank Photo Security V2 bag new approximately 2-3 years ago. I love it--absolutely love it. It is worth 5 out of 5 gold stars--easily. Before buying this bag I bought new and used a top of the line similar LowPro bag. LowPro makes good products but the zipper on my LowPro bag sprung, which was annoying, to say the least. A bag with a dysfunctional and/or unreliable zipper is not comforting, especially when the bag holds approximately $20,000--or more--of camera gear, and you are on a trip, hundreds or thousands of miles from home. The zipper on this ThinkTankPhoto bag is many times far superior to LowPro's bag. I often keep my ThinkTankPhoto [TTP] bag full, so there is a lot of strain on its zipper when I zip it up, but, this zipper, so far, functions as if it is 100% industrial strength grade. So far, this zipper shows no sign of failing. This entire bag is extremely durable and rugged. Also, today, mid-June 2011, I took my TTP bag to their Santa Rosa, CA office for a wheel replacement. The rubber on the wheels had come off in some places, making the bag generate a "clack, clack" sound when rolled. I believe the rubber came off, in parts, when small rocks got stuck in the wheel mechanism, preventing the wheels from rolling, and I had to drag the bag, when heavy, over rough desert terrain or gravel or both, when rushed, which happened often, when I was part of a large escorted photo tour. The wonderful folks at TTP's Santa Rosa, CA office made a free of charge warranty repair, for me, in a few minutes, while I waited, providing customer support worthy of an A+ on a traditional A-F scale. My bag now rolls smoothly with no clack-clack sound. Functionally, it is 100% as good as new. The TTP folks also fixed my bag with an external large, heavy, tripod support. I had been unable to figure that out for myself, but they set me up nicely, for free. -- Peter J. Mancus www.cloud9photography.us

Easy to configure and this thing is bullet proof. I have taken it well off the beaten path and probably into conditions in which it probably wasn't designed without any issues. I like that components can be replaced, as necessary. When shooting in the field, I will use the provided locks to secure the bag to a tree and then use a lens bag to rove around. The Airport Security essentially becomes a base station and I can feel secure in knowing it is locked.

Just received my bag and Artificial Intelligence laptop case. Love the quality and design of the bag. Very well thought out, spacious, love the fact that it includes rain cover and carrying straps. The only negative thing I can see is the security cable for the laptop bag. Instead of securing my $4,000 laptop, it secures my $50 bag... not so smart. Would take about 10sec for someone to unzip the bag, take the laptop and leave the bag chained to the camera bag...

I bought it a month ago, I live in Brazil and so far I have made 2 international flights, 8 national flights and 2 regional jet flights and I'm yet to have any problem with it's size and bulk. I've used all kinds of camera bags, from rollers to backpacks, hard cases, modular, etc. and so far, the Airport Security is the best photo bag in any category I've ever used! It's so well thought and made, all details are in the right place and you can fit a great amount of gear inside it. TSA locks and security cables are awesome for any frequent traveler, internal dividers the right size/amount, tripod holder works and you can take it away and well, I could go on and on talking about the great features! Only critic I would post is that the elastic sleeve in front of the bag is too tight so you can't really fit the Artificial Intelligence when any or both bags are fully loaded.

I wanted a roller bag to haul my gear around, and after scouring the Internet, I narrowed down to this one and the Pelican 1510. I actually bought both from Amazon just to test out how much each can hold. The Airport Security can hold almost twice as much stuff as the Pelican 1510 (hence twice the price), mostly because of its ability to swallow up flashes in its vertical position and yet the exterior dimensions of the Airport Security isn't all that much bigger (wow). Yes, I realize that the Pelican is nearly indestructable but the build quality of this thinktank bag is nothing less than stellar. I did have an issue with one of the tripod straps not being able to attach to the exterior of the bag due to a manufacturing defect, so I contacted thinktank and they replaced the entire bag with a new one no questions asked with overnight shipping. Their customer service is A+.

Got this for Christmas and love it. Great bag easy to handle and lots of room for all your stuff

Rating of bag 5 Rating of size 5 Rating of fit in planes 3 I LOVE ths bag. it is so well built, that it is very confidence inducing. You gear will feel like it is very safe. It rolls so nice and the locks are well built also. I wish my suitcase was a well built!!! But I had to exchange it. It won't fit in overheads of the A319 or 757. You have to turn it sideways. It WILL NOT fit under the seat of either plane also. You would need a wide body jumbo jet to fit normally in the overhead wheels in or handle in. SO if you use the smaller jets like the ones they fly into interesting out of the way places, this bag cannot go into the plane except behind the dividers between sections, but those places usually already have the crew's bags. I need a slightly smaller and thinner bag. The next smaller bag is a little too small. I wish they had a bag 3 inches shorter and 1 inch thinner, so it could go under a seat.

One of my favorite bags ever! After my first trip I called Roberts where I purchased the bag and told them that the wheels alone are worth the money! The bag glides and feels great while rolling it along, the backpack straps have saved my butt on several beach shoots, desert shoots, and a rocky climb in Las Vegas. Plenty of room for my D3 and D3X, chargers, lenses, and my Einchrom Quadra with two batteries and one head. My "goto" bag for all small photo shoots!

short and sweet - in my 7 years of shooting, this is by far the best bag i have ever purchased. the attention to craftsmanship, detail, and understanding of photog needs for storage and quick access were all clearly researched and considered to the fullest extent. i am thoroughly captivated and impressed by what think tank creates for demanding professionals. they know what we need, they know how to make it, and they follow through with exceptional detail. i give the airport security 10 stars out of 5.

Look, it's the best case you're ever going to own. Period. End of story. I've tortured mine for years, and it stills performs flawlessly. It also protects and organizes my huge assortment of gear perfectly. There is NO other bag to buy. Well, maybe a different Think Tank case. Every single photographer I've worked with since buying this case has ended up purchasing one for themselves. All of them. TT and you're done. :)

It was with growing excitement as the date of our trip to Hawaii neared. That excitement went up tenfold as my wife allowed me to purchase an underwater camera housing for my Canon 7D. Unfortunately my research into the housing did not include how in the heck I was going to get it, along with all my other gear, to Hawaii with us. After a few hours of Internet research, I happened upon the Think Tank Photo site and saw the Airport Security V2.0 case. This might be the case I was looking for! Unfortunately, I'm a "hands-on" sort of guy, and while a picture is worth a 1,000 words, actually feeling the case and how it's built make all the difference for me. I was fortunate enough to locate the case at a local NCE store, and since I had the housing in my car, the staff let me bring it in so I could try it out in the case. Took a little bit of maneuvering and flexing, but the housing fit! I think we had a winner! Long story short, this is probably the last case I'll be buying for a while. I was able to fit all my camera gear into the case for the trip. What gear? Here's the list of what I carried in the case: Canon 40D body, Ikelite Underwater Housing for 7D, Canon 7D body (in housing), Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6; Canon 70-200mm f2.8, Ikelite Lens Port, 580EX II Speedlite, Epson P6000 Multimedia Storage Viewer, Canon 100mm f2.8 macro, Canon 2x Teleconverter, Battery Chargers, Canon 24-70mm f2.8. Of course, memory cards and miscellaneous flat equipment went in the cover flap. All in all, this case was a rockstar. It glided over the ground and fit snugly wheels-first in the overhead compartment on the plane (although a smaller plane might require sideways stowage). The only danger is the weight - with all the gear you can put into this case, it does tend to get a little heavy. Also, be warned that the TSA staff might want to take a closer look at the contents given all the electronic hardware stored inside. I was checked both ways, primarily due to the camera in the underwater housing. Of course, neither of these issues detract from the awesome qualities of this case.

I just received this roller and could not be more pleased. As with all the TT products I have purchased the build quality is the very best. The support and product offering are also excellent. I really wish I had this roller 36 years ago when I was shooting full time.

I admit, when I got my Airport Security roller bag I was totally elated. Fantastic build, smoothest rollers I have used, just typical Think Tank. Then I started working with the dividers inside trying to configure it. Big problem in that it all fit poorly. I was bummed. I could not get the configuration I wanted for my equipment. Dividers too long, had to bend and angle them to make it even close to working for me. I wasn't happy. I sent a note off to customer service and got replies from several people, one being the product manager. We got on the phone and talked. Bottom line without the boring details is we figured out the problem, it got fixed and everything works as it should. Randy Wentzal went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. He even talked to the designers to make sure the sort of problem I experienced (just a fitting issue with a pad) was tended to as part of production. I can't recommend these guys enough. If something is wrong, and mistakes do happen, they jump on the problem and don't stop till its fixed. I own a lot of Think Tank product and none of it ever had issue but its cool to know they really take care of you as a customer when something goes awry. Best roller bag on the market, backed by the best customer service. Awesome combo.

Amazing bag - very well thought out and manufactured using durable materials. My only complaint would be that the rain cover doesn't cover the whole bag but fortunately in Australia we don't shoot too many events in the rain.

I made a big mistake buying this bag because it's too heavy. It comes in at 6.5kg and most european airlines carry on limit is now 12kg. This means a pro DSLR body 14-24mm, 70-200mm and 24-70mm and it's at 12.2kg. Everything else will have to go in check in baggage reducing my clothing for the journey. However it's very well made and put together with many functional ideas that I was looking forward to using but the weight is a big problem for me. I should have checked first.

If you have got this product then you are missing out on the best. I found out about this back through youtube and I am so grateful that I did. You can fit so much into this bag. The only issue is the more you fit the heavier it gets. I could not do without this bag it is now my main bag and all my camera gear stays in ready for the next shoot. I love that thinktank have though about all things that photographers might get up to or use this bag for it has heaps of security features and so many pockets that u wonder which one to use first. the wheels are are awesome and seamlessly roll without any fuss or noise making it a great joy when wheeling through a airport. This bag comes highly recommended and I would give it 10/10.

thinkTank photo is the gold standard in photography bags. This bag is there gold standard. Have hauled lots of stuff to lots of places, still many more places to haul more more stuff. This will be with me for another ten years. - Graham Hedrick
