This is THE rolling camera bag that converts into a backpack and still meets international carry-on size requirements. The backpack system was not an afterthought when we designed this bag, so it's comfortable to wear even when done so for extended periods of time. While it's the same size externally as the Airport International V2.0, the carrying capacity is slightly less to make room for the backpack strap system.

Features:

	The backpack straps can be tucked away yet remain exposed while the Airport TakeOff™ rolls along.
	When you are ready to use it as a backpack, simply collapse the extendable handle and pull out the backpack straps.
	The TakeOff™ can carry regular size DSLRs across the top of the bag and/or pro size DSLRs along the sides. A Nikon D90 and D3 are shown above.
	The rear panel covering can be easily zipped open or shut to hide or expose the backpack straps.
	A tripod or monopod can be carried on the side of the Airport TakeOff by using the straps and tripod cup included with the bag.
	A monopod can be carried in the stretchable side pocket and stabilized near the top of the bag with the included monopod strap.
	The cable and lock are inside the clear pocket andunderneath the front flap on the Airport TakeOff. The Artificial Intelligence 15 fits in the front pocket.
	Open the zipper flap on top of the Airport TakeOff to reveal the extendable handle.

This bag is incredibly amazing! Was able to fit a good amount of gear -- 2 Nikon Bodies, 14-24, 18-200, 3 primes, 2 flashes, pixel pocket rocket, laptop, and a bunch of accessories. Owned it only for a few months now but so far so good!

I can't tell you enough about how much I LOVE this bag. I bought it to go to Vegas. I carried Canon 5D Mk2 & 1D MkIII Bodies, 70-200L, 24-105L, 85L, 15 Lens. a 580 II and other odds and ends. The thing that really makes this bag great is to be able to go from back pack to wheels. I covered a lot of ground and the bag was fantastic!! Bravo Think Tank!!

4-section handle is extremely flimsy. The dividers design is much to be desired. Very challenging to re-organize. Heavy

Great bag, well built. I travel the us every weekend and the bag serves me well I can fit all my gear plus my laptop in one bag. The interior design is a little shallow but has to be for the telescoping handle. Great bag definetly recomend.

There is alot to like about this bag but there are also some nagging issues. The dividers are VERY hard to configure and you may find that you cannot organize they way you want. I wish there was a way to remove the straps to save weight, the bottom has many ridges and bumps due to the handle being retractable. How hard would it be to add a flat bottom to cover the handle so that all the space is flat? I like the handles, wheels and the zippers and I believe this bag will suit me but I was slow to warm up to it. Once I finally got it configured (with help from Think Tank) it has been much more useable.

Just what I needed. I was carrying my gear in a Tenba backpack but it just got too heavy going through airports. This rolling bag is very convenient and I can pick it up if I need to. Holds all the gear I need; two camera, three lenses and my laptop. Great product.

great product, very useful for our needs. My wife and I use this bag for travelling. We used to bring our own cameras (canon 5D mk II each, zoom camera + 1 extra lens) so we both carry them in our own backpack. Now we can put everything in this roller back, plus laptop and once we get to the destination we can unpack in the hotel and travel light... minor issue in handle and undetachable strap. In overall its a great stuff, thanks Thinktank!!

I purchased this bag for a trip to Canada to photograph the first Gran Fondo Whistler Bike Race. I packed a Nikon D2Hs, D700, SB800 flash, 70-200mm, 14-24mm, spare batteries of every kind, a load of memory cards in the Thinktank Pixel Pocket Rocket, my Hydrophobia 70-200, a Manfrotto Monopod strapped to the side, Marmot MemBrain Rainjacket and Pants,two hats, shaving gear, extra socks and clothing and my 14 inch laptop. It was all I needed! I was in and out of the airport and through security in record time! This is my new Favorite Bag next to my Airport Security and my Streetwalker Pro. The backpack straps in this bag were very comfortable to use when I was on location and had to move quickly between photo locations.The D rings on the straps let me clip my Cameras right to the case. Funny story. When we were coming back from eloping in Jackson Hole, we were in the gate area at O'Hare and I had my laptop in the outer pocket of the Airport Takeoff in a laptop sleeve. This woman was walking around the gate area tagging bags for gate-check. She came to me and I gave her the "I don't think so" look. She said, there's no way that bag is fitting in the overheads on this plane. On the outbound trip, I had taken the laptop sleeve out of the bag and it fit (albeit tight) in the same model plane's overhead bin on the way there and put the laptop under the seat in front of me. My wife and I got into it with the gate attendant and I made her call the terminal supervisor over since I wasn't about to let them toss my $15,000.00 worth of camera gear under the airplane. Unfortunately, we ended up making a big scene in the terminal and kept asking them to just let me TRY it and see if it would fit. The stubborn gate attendant kept refusing and I finally convinced the supervisor to let me try when our turn came to board. He actually went down into the plane with me and watched me try. The overhead storage bins were definitely not very big, but it just barely fit after I took the laptop out of the front pocket and I smirked and gave him the "I told you so" look and he smiled and apologized for the hassle. I'm hoping he gave that gate attendant a mouthful when he got back out to the terminal. There was also PLENTY of room in the overhead bins for my laptop and winter jacket since they made so many other people gate-check their bags.

A friend of mine originally ordered this for herself, but due to the speed she needed a roller bag for a wedding she had coming up, decided to go the Lowerpro version. Her loss. So I said I would pay the difference to have this ThinkTank. I have never liked Lowerpro's bags that I have owned in the past, and was ready for a change and shift of loyalty. I was pleasantly surprised by the Takeoff v2.0. It's well made, ease of use and fits my gear nicely and snuggly when I travel and is the right size to use as carry on luggage. The only negative I can find with the bag is the handle, if this was a lot stronger, i'd give the bag 5 stars. The handle could also be a touch longer in my opinion. I'm sure the handle will be rectified in the next model. A great bag otherwise for a good price. Thanks ThinkTank!

loved the bag..taking 2 bodies and 4 lens with 2 flash ...just awesome. cant ask anything better then this..

Just did a whirlwind trip to Tuscany for some photo/video work and chose the Airport Takeoff bag at the last minute -- it was wonderful! Multiple flights and airports were no problem (could the telescoping handle be stronger? it doesn't seem any worse than any other suitcase) and it always fit in the overhead bins. With the DSLR body, battery pack, 17-50mm, 70-200mm, 50mm, Zoom H4n, Sennheiser headphones, Rode Video mic, Sennheiser G2 wireless mics, AT897 shotgun mic, Genus Follow Focus, Z-Finder Pro, Lacie drive, 3-port power/usb strip, 5 batteries, 12 AA batteries, tripod plates, 2 litepanels, cables, MacBook Pro 17", flashlight and several Clif bars all fit inside with no problem! Sure, I had to fit my little shoulder rig into my suitcase, but for a mobile video/photo kit bag, it sure was nice to have everything in one bag. It was a bit heavy with all that gear, but nobody took notice of it. A keeper and I recommend it (as long as you get a laptop sleeve).

This is quite an unique bag, what with the stroller with straps strategy! Holds comfortably a whole lot of gear. I stuffed 2 bodies (D700 w/grip, D300s), 5 lenses including 2.8-trio (70-200 attached to D700 w/grip), all regular camera accessories and 1 SB-900, not to mention the Macbook. Couple of snags, the outer material strains under the weight of all that gear so it stretches a bit too much around the handle stitching for my taste. The factory-default padding arrangement does not work well with a pro-size dslr with 70-200 attached. Also the U-shaped cuts are not very kind to necks of most Nikon lenses I use, so had to shove the camera down into them to make it fit. Overall, a good bag for a decent price that holds a lot of gear and still disappears inside a plane overhead bin is a good bag for me.

My wife laughs at me because I have about as many ThinkTank bags as I do fleece jackets - and that's a lot. When it comes to bags though each seems to serve a different purpose. The reason I bought the TakeOff was because I've been having problems of late getting my usual ThinkTank case onto aircraft if I'm not among the first to board. The problem is the original case doesn't always fit straight up and down in the overhead, and often requires a sideways turn. That takes a lot more space than you have hope for if you board late. The International solves that, but in buying a case that's just a few inches shorter I wanted to have one additional option no other roller in the line has, and that's backpack straps. Very often in the winter, or across gravel roads, you just can't always drag behind you. Wheels are important though because on so many trips the long haul through O'Hare with only a backpack is back-breaking. Doing a lot of sports photography too, I was looking for a case that would allow me to carry the minimal required asset to shoot football: 2 bodies, 400 2.8, long zoom, and short zoom. This fit exactly that combo, although not in the configuration I expected. The case is long enough for a 400 and hood attached to a body. But the frame encasing the wheels doesn't allow a normal Mark4 or similarly sized camera to fit a the top of the bag without substantially stressing the lid. You can do it, but I don't recommend it. I did find the 400 fit well with a hood straight up and down, and where the bodies would be a long zoom sideways, and short zoom vertically fit snugly. The bodies fit better into the side well side-by-side. The long zoom hood is a problem solved by using a soft hood instead. It fits magnificently in any overhead. Aside from the price, which is a touch spendy, my major gripe is that I'd like to see the depth at the top of the bag accommodate a higher end body with motor. You won't have space to do bodies side-by-side, but by having one body top, and one on the side, enables one side slot with depth to accommodate that long zoom or another lens straight up and down. This is an outstanding bag, and I will use it as much as any other bag I own. At least, that's what I tell my wife.

This is by far the best bag that I have owned. After going through several sling bags from other companies, I finally found the bag I can't live without. In fact, my partner was so jealous, he bought one too. Not only is the organization great, the bag rolls super smoothly and best of all, it is extremely comfortable as a backpack. After years of great protection but heavy weight with a Pelican 1610 that had to be checked I wanted to get something I could carry on and wanted to be able to roll or backpack it. This is the perfect solution. I don't understand the issues others have with the handle. Lightweight and flexing doesn't mean flimsy. The handle length fits me fine at 5'9". Traveling weekly I carry a 5D II, 1DS MK III, 16-35 2.8, 24 shift, 50 1.2, 85 1.8, 90 shift and 70-200 2.8. Also two 580 EXII, Pocket Wizards, extra batteries for both bodies, AA batteries, pocket rocket and a small bag of extra tools, memory cards etc. I use the large outside pocket for either the laptop bag or a large reflector. It rolls like a dream, looks inconspicuous and working out of it is easy. Sturdy and hardy. And pairs nicely with my Logistics case for my lighting.

Several years old now still looks new. FYI to help your layout :- Left side. x2 580EX, 28-70L, 45mm TS. Right: AA battery box, 50 macro, 1.4 tele on top, Canon Pro Body (no lens), 24mm TS, Gaffer tape on top, Sekonic meter. Front area; x7 pocketwiz + card wallets. Middle area: Canon Pro body + 70-200 L attached, 17-35 2.8. Tons of bits in lid etc. It's tight but takes it all. Recommended and like many I've had many cases. Great materials and construction that keeps you looking good.

This camera bag combines the best features of the four other large camera bags that I have used over the past years, two backpacks and two rolling cases. My camera is a Hasselblad H4D-50 and my normal lens is the huge, but superb, I 50-110 Hasselblad zoom lens. I also carry in the bag three other Hassy lenses, a Metz flash, an Arca Swiss tripod head, miscellaneous accessories and two spare batteries with charger. The airport takeoff bag holds everything, plus a 15 inch laptop, in a very convenient way using every bit of space. When the terrain is smooth I can pull the bag behind me and when I am on a path in the woods the bag quickly converts to a comfortable backpack. Here are a couple of important points you might want to consider: 1. Even though the bag was designed for and is sold to carry 1 or 2 Pro SLR's, it works beautifully with the Hasselblad medium format camera (and I would assume almost any other medium format camera). 2. With more than 35 pounds of camera gear, as a backpack it can become uncomfortable on long trails because it has no built in belt. Thus, no weight is carried on the hips, all of it hangs on the back and shoulders. This can be readily fixed by going to your local REI camping supply shop and purchasing one of their backpack belts. The belt slips perfectly into the lumbar cushion, which is already built into the camera bag, and takes much of thee weight off the shoulders. Take the camera bag with you to REI and let one of their specialists fit the belt to your bag and your girth. 3. The bag is about as large as it can be and still fit in the overhead compartment of most larger aircraft. If you are carrying a lot of camera gear, consider carrying your laptop and its accessories in a 2nd carry-on bag designed for the computer.

I bought this bag as soon as it was released in 2009. It´s now 2013 and I have used it every single day in my work as sports and interior photographer. I mean every day, have not had a vacation in 7 years so the Take Off have really been tested. Most reviews out on the net are from people just bought or been given a bag and try to fit there gear in it. It give a hint but it will not tell if it will hold in real life. I have nothing but good to say about the Take Off after years of use, every single feature works as intended and stand heavy abuse. The combination of roller and a decent back pack harness are superb. Nothing to hike with but a god given combination. I have worn out a set of wheels but the TTP support team got me a pair of new ones. The support team are another good feature with all TTP product. I have an arsenal of TTP bags for different occasions and if something happens the support have always been there helping me out. If you compare other product with ThinkTanks add in the support and no one can beat TTP. Go for it if it fits your needs.

I like this bag a lot. It sturdy and well built. I do agree with the comments regarding the difficulty in arranging the dividers. Once arranged, one does not want to reconfigure the bag to carry other great. Also the four section handle seems flimsy to me. Time will tell what will happen. It does roll almost effortlessly and my bag currently contains D700 + 24-70mm and D300 + 18-200mm, both with grips 14-24mm, 70-200mm, 80-400mm, 10.5mm Fisheye, 28mm, 50mm, 85mm and various accessories. I just attached the straps for carrying the tripod on the side. We'll see how that works. All in all I'm satisfied.

Excellent backpack with rolling feature.It is light and perfect material for contents protection. I highly recommend it for photographers who travel lots especially if their journeys have connecting flights because of rolling feature to save your back.
