Features:
Feature #2 Can be used as a belt pack, with the shoulder strap for support, as a shoulder bag, or worn with the included chest harness straps
Feature #3 UK Photojournalist Helen Atkinson shooting PR photos and testing one of the first Change Up prototypes with the chest harness. Notice how the chest harness, which is included with the Change Up, allows her to distribute the weight of the belt pack between her hips and the shoulders. It also allows far more gear to be carried in the Change Up comfortably. In this photo, the Trim Changer™ is attached to the side of the Change Up’s waist belt.
Feature #4 Sitting down, driving a car, and other important activities. In this photo, Helen Atkinson uses the adjustment straps on the front of the chest harness to move the belt pack higher on her body so she can sit down, edit, and transmit images. Depending on what you are doing during your shoot, you may want the Change Up higher or lower on your body. The ability to move it farther up is clearly advantageous if you need to jump in a car, sit down and edit, or even go the bathroom without taking it o
Feature #5 Used as a belt pack. The wide, supportive waist belt allows you to wear this belt pack either lower or higher on the front of your body, or even on the side of your hip. The choice is yours: whatever you prefer at that moment you are shooting. Most photographers tend to wear belt packs lower on the front of their bodies to facilitate getting gear in and out of the bag.
Feature #6 Shoulder strap used for support. The chest/shoulder strap provided with the Change Up is a great way to support the weight of the bag, while allowing you to rotate the bag around your body. You can adjust the weight from your shoulder to your hips, and move the bag along your waist with ease.
Feature #7 Can be carried as a shoulder bag. After tucking away the waist belt, one shoulder strap can be used so that it appears to be a regular shoulder bag. This is why we called it the “Change Up”: it can appear to be used for one purpose and then changed very easily for another.
Feature #8 Worn with a chest harness. This close up shows how when both of the chest straps are attached the bag can be fully supported by both shoulders. Depending on what you are doing, this is another great alternative. For full information, download the instructions.
Feature #9 Modular components attach to the belt. The “rails” on the waist belt allow our Modular components to be attached. In this photo, the Lens Drop In™ has been attached to allow quick switching of teleconverters. Depending on the size of the Modular component, one or two items can be attached per side rail.
Feature #10 Stretch front pockets. The front pockets are made from a stretchable material that allows items like lens caps, back caps, cell phones, business cards, and other essential items to be accessed quickly.
Feature #11 Side stretch pockets. The side pockets are also stretchable and designed specifically to hold a strobe. Small water bottles will also fit.
Feature #12 Front pocket organizer. An organizer in the front pocket allows all your essential goodies to be carried, such as your business cards, wallet, notepad, business cards, pens, pencils, aspirin, and MP3 players.
Feature #13 Removable padded insert. The padded insert is removable and attaches to the inside with Velcro. It can easily hold two lenses with large hoods, such as some 70-200s 2.8 with the hood reversed, and a wide angle lens like a 16 – 35 or 17 – 40 with the hood in position. The Change Up™ is great for changing lenses and other accessories.
Feature #14 Rear pocket for accessories. There is a separate, zippered back pocket for your notepad and other items that you need immediate access to, such as your gloves in cold weather. It is also an excellent place to store the chest straps that come with the Change Up.
Feature #15 Tuck away waist belt. The waist belt can be tucked behind the back pad to make them disappear when it is being used as a shoulder bag. It’s quick and easy.
Feature #16 Top carrying handle. On the back seam of the bag is a handle, and on either side are the D-rings that are used to attach the straps.
Feature #17 Seam-sealed rain cover. “Seam -sealed” means there is a special sealing tape that is applied to the inside seams to make the bag even more water resistant.

Overall Product Rating:

Very useful, discreet as a shoulder bag. Nice if another version made slighter larger to accommodate an A4 folder inside the rear pocket... Great compromise, comfortable. Please consider moving should strap D rings further to the edge of the bag for better balance on people with wide shoulders!

This is a really convenient bag to shoot out of when on the move. Extremely versitile and comfortable to wear either as a shoulder bag, a waist pack or using the harness system. I love this bag!!

This bag is of superb design. It can function as a camera+2 lens bag for a small body camera and can even fit a mid-sized body+2 lenses with a little pushing. The ability to switch between waist and shoulder carry, the small size, and the ability to add accessories has made it my constant travel companion. All that I've wanted is a little more depth to really make it work for my D90 kit. Now that the WiredUp series is out, my wishes have been fufilled. I suspect that that either the Wired Up 10 or 20 will be my next travel bag, but the ChangeUp will still be the bag I pick up for local shooting with a small kit.

Wow! I have been using and loving ThinkTank bags for a while but this bag beats them all. What can I say? Just WOW!

I can pack my canon 40d with two lens including my 70-200 2.8 zoom flash batteries and cards. It is heavy and a bit of a tight squeeze but it hold it. rugged comfortable and looks great

The Change Up is the best camera bag I've ever used. It holds my second lens and a flash while working with only one camera. I find the kangaroo pouch type bag superior to anything swinging from my shoulders and the straps definitely spread the weight around. It would be the perfect bag if it were deep enough to hold a 70-200mm f2.8 lens with hood attached.

A great bag if you can use it. This could be the ultimate two lens travel/walk-around bag if your gear fits. Unfortunately it's a bit on the narrow side for a D700 - I'd surely love to see a slightly bigger version.

The most versatile gear-toting system ever! The basic bag has room for two lenses (usually my Canon 16-35mm and 70-200 f/2.8L IS) and spare batteries, PocketWizards, etc., I keep a 15mm fisheye in one of the two end pockets, and the belt accepts my Skin Component bags as needed for up to four more lenses. During a long shoot, I can quickly adjust the load between waist and shoulders, having all my gear at my fingertips yet secure.

I just purchased this item (from Adorama) and I really like it. My one caveat, however, is that the shoulder strap is rather thin. In speaking with a ThinkTank employee, I was told that the bag is intended to be worn more as a harness (i.e., using both shoulder straps) as opposed to a one-strap, over-the-shoulder bag. Now, it's not that you can't use one strap, but you'll likely see one strap as not strong enough for long term use if you've got, say, a D700-size camera, 100mm lens, and accessories. But this one observation on my part is not fatal because I think when you buy this bag it's because you want something that's going to be much easier on your shoulder/back. Thus, with this waist belt and harness capability it will be much more comfortable with a heavier load than would be a shoulder bag. The thin-strap observation is also less compelling (though still relevant) if you use a D90-size or smaller camera. Needless to say, it has lot of little pockets and fabulous construction.

The advantages of thinness cannot be overstated. It's a bit too thin to function as a camera bag for a large-size body, but the lack of a front pouch and its overall size makes it wonderful to carry and work out of without you feeling like you're toting a shoebox on your hip. Perhaps the ideal travel bag hybrid would be marrying the Changeup's hip belt system with a slightly softened, slightly wider UD30. The WiredUp 10 would seem to fit this bill, but it's too specialized and the front pouches make it rather bulky, like the Speed Freak. The ChangeUp: a near home-run for ThinkTank.

I can't give this bag enough stars. I'm a bit of a Think Tank fanatic. I've got an Airport Int'l for the big stuff, Rotation 360 for hiking/travel, UD 70 for my normal gear bag and now the Change Up as my working waistpack and small bag. This bag holds just enough as a small bag. I can fit my 5DmkII with 24-70L attached and a 70-200 f/2.8 IS on the other side or carry the whole Canon trinity (35L, 85L, 135L) when I'm shooting primes. It's the perfect size for a small kit and can be expanded with additional pouches when asked to carry more. I love how this bag "changes up" to fit the necessary job. It's great as a small walkaround bag but can convert to a waistpack for comfort if you're doing a lot of walking or activity and can even switch up to a chest pack! And it's the perfect size as a lens bag for shooting weddings. I'm loving this bag. Seriously, I've never been as excited about as bag purchase as I am about the Change Up. It is EXACTLY what I needed.

I use this bag as a everyday shoulder bag and really love the look of the bag. It's very inconspicous and looks way cooool ! The size and weight are almost perfect but I have tone major complaint which I hope someday Think Tank will address. First of all I use this mostly as a shoulder bag. When used this way the positioning of the should straps on the back of the bag (I know it's meant to work as a harness unit.......) make it awkward to wear in that the D-rings are always digging into the side of my body especially if the bag is fully loaded. It would be REALLY NICE to have the option of attaching the straps to the horizontal ends of the bag, thatn it would function better as a shoulder bag. Like the way you have on your Urban Disguise (I own two of those bags as well and am constantly interchanging the UD 30 with the ChangeUp). Second I hope you SOME DAY do something about your website.....ha ha ha. It's drives me nuts the way it's designed because whenever you open up to your site, you get this huge BLANK WHITE SPACE and your staring at none of your beautiful products until you scroll down. It's really really really annoying and for the life of me I can't understand why you design your site this way. Bottom LIne......Wonderful Products Terrible Website......ha ha ha

Very useful and with good carrying options. Outstanding quality. Holds my Nikon D90 with a Sigma 18-50/2.8 on and Nikon 70-300 and SB-600 flash side by side. With the 70-300 mounted, its a tight fit. Love the side and front pockets. The missing star is for the padded rear pocket, witch is to no use to me. I would like it better with a non-padded (bigger) space. I can recommend this bag as a day bag for casual shooting. It is a good complement to my UD 35.

I bought the Change Up over a year ago to pack a Nikon D90, and I'm still happy with the bag every time I pick it up. It's hard to over-rate the usefulness of being able to switch between shoulder & belt modes. The handle and should strap make it easy to grab & go when I'm in a hurry, while the belt mode is much more comfortable for long walks/hikes. (The straps tuck away neatly when not in use, so nothing's flapping around.) Plenty of pockets, good padding - I think this bag strikes an optimum balance between capacity & compact size. And I think it's a plus that the Change Up doesn't shout out "I'm a camera bag!!" This is one of those purchases that I've only been happier with over time.

This is the most comfortable way for me to carry 14 plus pounds of gear. I am a 122-pound woman if that helps illustrate things here. My gear is oppressively heavy in any shoulder bag. The Change Up does require a bit of practice to get it on and off elegantly, but it is extremely easy to work out of when you are wearing it. Plus I just feel very comfortable with my gear strapped on, I could keep it on all day with this bag. Easy to change lenses and the front pockets are great for tucking your lens cap in. Even with the Digital Holster 20 mounted on the Change Up belt, I can drive my car, get right down on the floor to photograph one of my dogs, hike, walk around, do whatever--my gear becomes almost weightless in this bag. I love it. Also even loaded with the 14-24 f/2.8, SB 800 and 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II, it is THIN. Though the longer lens is a tight fit vertically, I can still zip it up. Doesn't make you look hippy or fat. Makes you look smart for not hauling many pounds gear on your weary shoulder.

I have been using this bag for a couple of years now. I have the camera "holster" attached to it so I can have one camera around my neck, another on my hip and three extra lenses in the bag. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Best camera bag investment I've made. Nick at Blue Bend Photography. http://www.bluebendphotography.com

I have this bag, of course, and agree that it's really not the bag for a Nikon D700 or larger. By this I mean that if you use one shoulder strip you'll feel the weight of the camera more and it won't feel like a long-term secure option. When I spoke with someone at ThinkTank I was told that this bag is really meant to be used with two straps in the harness configuration. But, as with much of ThinkTank's offerings, the bag is well made with plenty of slots to hold all of our camera incidentals.

I have been using this bag for four years now, and found it was fair to give it a review now. This bag is a fantastic solution for carrying a medium size body with two lenses (I usually use 5D + 17-40L + 70-200/4L IS) in a very comfortable manner, especially for hiking. I took mine through many weeks long trekkings in the Alps and in the Himalayas, and really enjoyed carrying this bag there: all my equipment is available at all times and well protected, I do not feel the weight on my shoulders and it does not interfere with my backpack straps. I did also add a modulus component for another small lens, and a bottle carrier bag. It is also a pleasure to take on shorter hikes and photo sessions inside cities. By far, my preferred bag

This is my first Think Tank bag, and I'm impressed! Very well put together, with just the right amount of padding, you can keep squeezing stuff into the bag without feeling it's going to fall apart. It's plenty big enough for a D7000, two good lenses and a flash. Once my camera is out and I'm shooting I put the bag behind me on the belt and it effectively disappears. The slim profile makes it very easy to manage, and it's unobtrusive. The belt is very comfortable, although, as others have said, the shoulder strap is not really adequate when the bag is fully loaded. Surprisingly the rear pocket is big enough to fit a 9 inch netbook. Excellent service and backup from Snapperstuff in the UK.
