Features:
Hydrophobia 300-600 V2.0 protects the camera and allows full operational use when the rain cover is deployed.
The Hydrophobia 300-600 V2.0 pre-mounts to the lens hood to be quickly deployed during inclement weather. If bad weather is intermittent, the rain cover can stay in the pre-mounted position but pulled out to cover the camera when needed.
The rain cover can be attached while the DSLR is attached to the lens. To deploy from the pre-mounted position, loosen the red elastic cord at the bottom, then simply pull the rain cover fabric out from underneath the flap. Pull the fabric completely over the lens and the camera, attaching the neoprene eyepiece collar around the eyepiece. Finally, close the weatherproof zipper at the bottom and cinch the elastic cord tightly around the monopod.
A clear flap is designed to cover the Hydrophobia eyepiece while the camera is not in use. The flap prevents any droplets from falling into the viewfinder and obscuring vision when ready to shoot.
Hydrophobia 300-600 V2.0 now offers a larger clear window on back for increased view of the camera and LCD screen.
Version 2.0 also features a tethered lens hood cover to keep moisture or debris from hitting the front lens element, while the camera is not being used.
An elastic camera strap retainer is located on the inside of the rain cover, near the camera. Fold or roll the camera’s strap, then tuck it under the strap retainer to store neatly.
The elastic cords on the rain cover can now be tightened or loosened by single-handed operation.
The Hydrophobia eyepiece can be stored in the dedicated eyepiece pocket to prevent it from being accidentally misplaced. (Eyepiece required and sold separately).
The right and left hand sleeves are placed strategically to allow full control of the camera and lens functions, including manually focusing the lens. The arm sleeves are both oversized to accommodate for bulky outwear and gloves during extreme weather. (Version 1.0 pictured)
Properly attached, the Hydrophobia 300-600 V2.0 will still allow the DSLR to turn vertically in either direction, for right eye or left eye preference. (Version 1.0 pictured)
A teleconverter can be attached either by opening the rain cover or inserting the teleconverter through an arm sleeve. Hydrophobia 300-600 V2.0 has plenty of room inside for detaching the DSLR and connecting the teleconverter.
Change memory cards without removing the rain cover. (Version 1.0 pictured)
Batteries can be also be changed without removing the rain cover. (Version 1.0 pictured)
A 600mm lens extension sleeve is included for use with a 600 f4 or 800 f5.6 lens.
A mesh carrying bag is included for transportation and storage.

Overall Product Rating:

I purchased the Hydrophobia 300-600 & 70-200 this summer & I would just like to say I think they are brilliant! Everything about them is spot on, the design, quality of materials, attention to detail, all great. Little things on them like the pocket on the cover to keep the camera prism eye piece in when not in use, being able to fold the 300-600 up on the end of the long lens when not needed, the clear fold down flap to protect the cameras eyepiece when not in use are just some of the little details that make these products stand out for me. Oh yes, when it does decide to pour with rain they keep my gear dry and it has done quite a bit of raining over here in the UK this summer (summer, what summer?) This is how good I think they are, when I purchase any new piece of kit I judge how much I have spent on how good or worthwhile it has been. The cost of my Thinktank Hydrophobia's has been long forgotten as I think they are so good!!! Great pieces of kit that I would readily recommend for any photographer working out in all weathers like I do.

I bought the V1 of the Hydro 300-600 and have been using for the last 5 years, the back was starting to fog and the rain cover had seen so many storms and use that I figured it was time to upgrade. I bought the new one to protect my $10k Nikon 400 2.8. I new a huge rain storm was coming but I had to go out and shoot a soccer game that was already pre paid for. All I have to say is this product rocks, the new improvements with the front lens cover, the more plastic in the back to see the screen and controls and the flip up back shield are all welcome adjustments. If you shoot a lot of sports and know you are going to be out in the elements look no further because this is one fantastic product, I still am not a fan of the Nikon eyepiece but thats for another day. BUY IT YOU WON'T REGRET IT. Shane
