Overall Product Rating:

This is great my gear will be with me at all times during the wedding. I don't need to get the DJ to watch my bag! Love it. This is my fourth Think tank bag. Always the best quality both materials and workmanship.

Using the modular set I loaded the Nikon 28-300 super tele, the 16-35 UWA, the 50 f1.4 prime, the SB-910 flash with gels into the holders and could stow them into an Osprey Halo LE backpack along with my iPad. Then nicely on top of those in the backpack I could still place the Nikon D800 with 24-70 f2.8 in the back pack. I took the digital holster 30 along, but did not have to. I will next try the modular set with my Osprey Manta 30 which has the integrated 3L water bottle. The Mantra probably had a bit more volume. The main point I wanted to make is that the modular set lets you use almost anything(backpack, luggage, roller case) to carry a lot of gear. I guess I will get the belt, that would allow some to be stowed and some worn around the waist. Highly recommend this product.

I wear this with a pro speed belt. Best system there is. I can shoot for hours with the se bags while safely speed changing lenses. Also' the flash pocket holds my SB900 with the diffusers and is so comfortable.

I've been using the Modular Component Set along with the speed belt and U-Keep-It-Up strap for about a year now so thought it time to write. First, prior to getting this set-up I had a LowPro Shoulder Bag that I'd taken on a couple of trips. After significant shoulder pain I was looking for an alternative. Read the article about traveling to a destination with gear vs. being at the destination ready to shoot and thought that made perfect sense, Also understood the need to have gear (lenses) at the ready as I'm a one body shooter. Decided on the Streetwalker Pro Backpack/Urban Disguise bag for around town, and the Airport Accelerator for air travel to get the gear to a destination. The belt system is PERECT to be doing active shooting. While it may look a bit geeky at non-tourest locations, it's just so efficient at what you are doing (taking photographs) the geekness is a non issue. My big test was this past months bicycling trip to the Netherlands. Did 200 miles on an upright Netherland style bicycle with the modular system. I was carrying a 70-200 f/4, 16-35 f/2.8, a spare Lens Changer 50 for the lens drop pouch, and a water bottle pouch. The camera (5D3 with 24-70) was in a separate handlebar bag most of the time when not hooked to the Black Rapid shoulder strap. Cycling was very comfortable with the gear's weight on my waist though the Keep-It-Up strap is a MUST in order well, to keep the gear up! The two point shoulder strap might have been a plus here but for the geek factor. I can't say enough about the system's ease of use and build quality. Like all Think Tank products, it is well thought out by folks who shoot for a living. Once you get the hang of lens changing with this system, you'll wonder how you shot without it. One addition note on the airport travel. I decided to remove all the dividers in the Airport Accelerator and pack all the gear in it's respective modular bag. This allowed me to have all the valuable equipment with me as a carry-on and not have to pack the modular pouches separate. Took up a little extra space in the backpack but think it was the right way to go for International travel. One note here, try to board the plane as early as possible as if they run out of overhead bins you may be forced to check the gear at the plane door. This happened on my connecting leg to Amsterdam from Dublin (smaller plane) AND THE BAG WAS LOST for three days! So bottom line for me, the Modular Component set is a wonderful system to have your gear ready for use while all the while carrying that gear in comfort around your waist. Hope this review helps others with their gear lugging decision process.

I used this on a trip to Germany. I carried a Nikon D90 with a 70-200 2.8, 70-300, 50mm 1.8, Tamron 17-50 2.8, SB 600, Olympus TG2 and multiple extra batteries, memory cards, etc with this system. Everything worked flawlessly and was very comfortable.
