Features:

	The exterior of each Retrospective shoulder bag is purposefully simple, allowing photographers to inconspicuously blend into their shooting environment.
	The softness and flexibility of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 easily allows a pro size DSLR to be carried in the main compartment with a lens attached, facing downward. The Retrospective 10 is pictured here, containing (left to right): a Canon 5D with battery grip and 24-70 f2.8 attached and a 70-200 f2.8.
	Within the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30's main compartment, are two collapsible nylon pockets (one on each side). These pockets are tall enough to fit most flash units or other accessories. A hook-and-loop strap can be used to secure the contents or it can be tucked into the pocket for quicker access.
	The Retrospective 10, 20 and 30 all have an organizer pocket inside the main compartment. It gives photographers enough space for small, but significant, accessories necessary for a successful shoot.
	The expandable pocket(s) on the front of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 can be used to carry a spare pro size DSLR body or other photo gear. A small hook-and-loop flap folds over the top of the pocket to secure its contents. The Retrospective 30 (pictured) features two expandable pockets, while the Retrospective 10 and 20 have only one expandable pocket on the front of the bags.
	The "sound silencers" underneath the main flap are used to suppress the loud tearing sound hook-and-loop makes while opening and closing the bag. Simply release the sound silencer panels and cover the hook-and-loop strips to prevent the hook-and-loop from contacting. A clear business card pocket, for identification and spare cards, is also located under the main flap.
	Hook-and-loop panels securely fastens the main flap down, keeping valuable photo equipment hidden from view.
	A wide storage pocket is located on the back of the bag can be used to carry magazines, newspapers, or other paperwork, depending on the size of the bag.
	Webbing loops on both sides of the bag can be used to carry some smaller pouches on the bag. Alternatively, a carabiner (not included) can be used to quickly clip accessories to the the sides of the bag as well.
	Side pockets on both sides of the bag can be used to carry smaller water bottles and will even fit some shoe-mounted strobe units.
	A fully adjustable, canvas strap is integrated into each Retrospective bag. For extra comfort, a breathable cushioned pad slides along the strap for optimum positioning. Sections of non-slip material on the pad helps keep the entire strap on your shoulder.
	This bag features a removable carrying handle for your convenience.
	The seam-sealed rain cover included with the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 was specially designed to keep the carrying handle and integrated shoulder strap outside the rain cover without compromising protection from the elements. This is the bag that I've always dreamt. Unobtrusive, simple, small, smart and cool... I look forward it will be available!!!

So nice! Hope in the future a even smaller version will be released for people carrying only one pro camera with 2 lens (one attached).

I've had my Retrospective 10 now for several days and it is obviously well designed and constructed. As I load the bag, it typically carries either a Nikon F100 or D90 with a Nikon 70-300 attached to camera body, and also include a 16-35 VR, as well as a 35mm f1.8 and or a 50mm f1.4. Despite a sinificant load, there is room to spare, as well as ample room for big filters, and step-up rings, film, and whatever (including a shoe-mount flash). It is convenient, and carries very well with the wide and very comfortable padded carrying strap. I couldn't be happier with this bag. It will definitely be my primary bag. Also, it is quite inconspicuous.

Great bag and very well made. It carries just what I needed for travel without being overly large. I carry D700 with 28-105 attached (including that huge lens hood) plus 20mm/f2.8 and 180mm/f2.8 and a small Sunpak flash, plus usual extras.

Perfect in all the ways I wanted it to be. Sits comfortably against my body, great shoulder strap, well made, simple but functional, cool looking, easy access.

in reference to my last review that is only showing one star, it is suppose to show 5 stars. it is a great bag, and the colour is starting to grow on me.

Seems nice but the bag weighs three pounds empty. I hope Thinktank starts to put more emphasis on lighter weight materials throughout their line.

Great looking (love the Pinestone) and well built but seriously overengineered for a "small" everyday bag. Too tall for prime shooters (not everyone carries a 70-200/2.8 all the time) and seems way too heavy for its size. (D700, Zeiss 50/2, 100/2, 21/2.8) Construction weight may be better fit with the larger sized, but the "10" feels chunky/clumsy as a walk about bag.

have been a thinktank bag fan for a long time. Recently I purchased and carried a thinktank retrospective bag for vacation. I was carrying couple of micro four thirds bodies and lenses along with my voigtlander 50mm and 40mm lenses. Not exactly sure how it happened, I was at the driver's seat and my wife opened the trunk of our CRV and boom the EPL1 body, panasonic 7-14mm lens and the voigtlander 50mm Nokton fell on the ground. There is no apparent damage to the EPL-1 body but the 14-42 kit lens is severely damaged. A part of Nokton (nikon mount) is damaged too). Teh 7-14 mm seems good so far pending futher testing. Looks like somehow the bag was tilted and the velcro opened. Could probably have happened with any such messenger style bag but I have been using other massenger style bags (Tenba, Domke etc.) and never had such problem.

fits my need perfectly. front pocket with iPad. my SB900, 24-70mm, D700 & 16mm FE.

Fantastic, brilliant, beautiful and wonderfully crafted. It's become home for my Leica M9 outfit along with a 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, two 50mm, 75mm and a flash. The front pocket is also the perfect size for my iPad!

I love it. Is now my every day pack and my travel bag. I love when people think!

Absolutely perfect for not drawing too much attention and comfortably fits 70-200 + DSL with wide lens + speed light + little 4/3-GF1 + room to spare. The only missing feature is cross strap to prevent bouncing in rare occasion one needs to hurry up or climb over something.

This bag sets the standard by which all DSLR shoulder bags should be measured. Although the smallest in the series, it packs quite a punch. It's got much more room than meets the eye. I have my D90, 18-200mm zoom, 50mm prime, SB-600 flash, lens hood stored separately, BlackRapid strap, lens dust blower all in the bag and there's still room for a 70-200mm and then some. Incredibly roomy and practical bag. The construction is solid. Coupled with the well padded main compartment, I have full confidence that my gear is well protected and concealed. Love the sound silencers. Kudos to Think Tank for getting it so right. Can't get enough of the Pinestone - so retro, so cool!!!

Great bag. comfortable. Takes me back to the soft shoulder bags of my youth :). The only issue I have with it is that the side pockets are too tight to put much in.

Great bag, love the look, the build, and the size. Strap is very comfortable. I wish it had more padding in the bottom. Currently have it packed FULL with Canon 7D body w/ no lens attached, 50 1.4, 100mm Macro, 16-35L, 24-70L, 70-200 2.8L, 1.4 extender II, R-Strap, cleaning kit, cards, charger, and iPad. I have not found a configuration that will give me room for a flash. I may have to upgrade to the Retrospective 20.

I carry my Canon 7D, 580 EXII, 10-22, 17-55, 28, 85 lenses/lens - plus accessories and I still have room to spare. I'm a 6'2" slim build female and this bag sits great on my shoulder and is not too bulky (unlike the Crumpler 7MDH). I love the strap length - this would have to be the most comfortable bag strap I have ever used on a camera shoulder bag. Would of liked better main inserts/dividers.

This bag is fit my purpose , i don't like the bag that known as camera bag . People don't realise that this is a camera bag thats why i love this one. i like the pinestone color , has the classic style . I think will never get bored to use this bag , specially if i use my denim and polo shirt , love it .

I have several TT products and always admired the quality and features of their bags. I’ve purchased Retrospective 10 to be used for a day trips/vacations when I want to have my iPad or netbook with me. I’ve already used the bag for 2 weeks vacation and here are my observations First, the good: the usual quality and craftsmanship of TT – top notch. Very convenient shoulder strap – the best I have ever used, allows me to carry the bag all day long. Roomy – fits DSLR, 2-4 lenses and a bunch of accessories. For example, I can conveniently fit Nikon 17-55 with hood attached mounted on Nikon D90, 70-300, and a couple of primes or a prime and SB-400 flash. SB-900 fits great as well. iPad even with the big Outerbox Defender series case fits nicely into the front pocket. Alternatively, the front pocket can be used for 10 inch netbook. The bag looks great, inconspicuous and I actually like the Pinestone color. The bag provides for quick, convenient and easy access to the equipment, even fully loaded. The back pocket is really useful for documents, etc. Internal pockets are great for having accessories organized. Things that can be improved (knocked 1 star off): A few features can be borrowed from the other TT bag I own (Urban Disguise 50): side pockets of Retrospective are hardly usable, making them stretchable would be a big improvement. It’d be great to add a latch (just like the one used in UD50) on the main flap for those cases when Velcro silencers are used. A zippered pocket can be added to the main flap, just like in UD50. In the main compartment, the dividers can only attach front to back – it’d be very nice to have an ability to fit them also right to left to better utilize the depth of the bag and still have the items protected. Things to be aware of: while the great strap still allows carrying the bag for a full day without too much trouble, fully loaded the bag can be bulky and heavy. For example, the total weight of D90 (620g) + 17-55 (760g) with hood + Sigma 50-150 (770 g) + SB-400 (128g), GPS, small backup P&S, filters, cleaning accessories, spare battery/cards can easily reach 5-5.5 kg, out of which ~25% is the bag itself (1.4 kg). Add an iPad (680g + the weight of the case) and a bottle of water and you look at ~6.5 kg on your shoulder.

I used this bag on vacation and found it perfect! The quality, comfort, and ease of access all make this bag awesome. I pack a Canon 50D, 70-200mm L attached, 17-50mm, 50mm, and a Flash unit. The bag doesn't feel heavy loaded at all. The Retrospective 10 is awesome in Pineston!

5 Stars for the quality of the bag. 2 Stars for the pictures showing more than will fit this bag. What I like: - It's quality, very well made! - The pockets are well designed and in useful places. - The customizable inserts work really well regarding holding things in place. - Rain cover fits perfectly! - Most comfortable shoulder strap I've ever used. - Low key appearance that doesn't attract attention. What I dislike: - The photo above showing a pro dslr with lens attached, an additional mid size lens and a 70-200 all fitting in this bag with apparent room to spare. It's very misleading as I can't fit that much in no matter how hard I cram it in there. It fits my Canon 7D with a Grip and mid size lens (24-70) attached as well as one other mid size lens in the bag. If I put the 70-200 in there it sticks out the top of the bag a bit (with out the hood attached) and makes fitting the camera in next to it a really tight squeeze. Leaving absolutely no room for any accessories let alone another lens. I'd suggest the Retro 20 if you plan to tote around anything larger than a 24-70mm.

Great bag in any way you look at it. When I saw it, I bought it right away. Very intelligently crafted, well balanced on the shoulder, nice assortment of pockets. Would buy it again. Regards from Munich, Germany.

Finally I can bring my big DSLR with me everywhere without looking like a huge nerd - nobody ever realizes that it's a camera bag until I pull out my Nikon!

A nice bag for me and my 5D Mark II, with 24-70 mounted and a 70-200. Other stuff also find good rooms inside. It appears much bigger inside than looked. I rated 4 stars 'cause I could not find a "5" before I bought the "10". 5 is more than enough for me I think.

This is without a doubt the best camera bag I've ever owned! Everything fits, is protected and I love the fact that you control the level of noise the velcro emits. It's very inconspicuous and comfortable. Quite simply the best!

Great bag. The shoulder strap is much better than anything I've found on bags from other manufacturers. This bag is tough, with lots of pockets. Velcro is a great idea. Highly recommended.

Like most TT products well built, if not perfectly designed. Love the color, craftsmanship and strap. But over the top brick way to heavy and bulky. Also slow in use. I to agree with the reviewer whom felt wary about velcro. I had my D700 and FM 2 2/28 F1.4 fly out of the bag in pro use at CES last year. Never happend with my Domkes. Very hard to deploy effectively in tight quarters and very slow on the draw. And did I mention the weight. But real issue is the flopping around. Been a fan of the Urban Disguise since the beginning and cannot speak highly enough about them. After a fit of rage at the Retrospecitve product used my LP 160AW till found my UD 40 & 30 ( my fav ). Home again with the UD bags. Much steathier and FASTER in use. More compact and secure. Love those things, especially the 30, which can hold D700, FM2 or F3, and two or 3 of the following: 20 F2.8, 24 F2 AIS or 1.4G, 35 F1.4G or 2 AIS & 50 f1.4 AF-D, SB-900 or 800. Love the UDs and cannot recommend highly enough. Retro's good though for camping equip. Note: I have and like alot the arrangement for film of sticking Domke F4/F2 inserts in this bag and using this way. For this purpose I would rate bag at 4 stars.

My stuff: Nikon D90 w/o grip Sigma 17-70 Nikon 80-200 2.8 2 ring Nikon 105 macro SB600 Flash Kenko 1.4 Teleconverter I just picked this bag up at my LCS. First: I LOVE the material and strap. The bag feels very well made and durable. However, it took me a LONG time to orient this bag to my desired configuration as I feel this bag better accommodates full-size equipment with grips (like shown). After doing so, I still was not totally happy as I like my gear not to flop around and/or contact each other (I have my flash standing next to the 80-200 with not buffer). I find that the two soft inside side pockets are just about impossible to access with my gear loaded so these are relegated to less critical items. I think this bag could have strongly benefited from the ability to have the supplied larger dividers to have velcro ability (rather than just smooth nylon) to better compartmentalize/adjust the inside of the bag (aka Crumpler/Tenba) to keep gear from banging into each other all day and support smaller gear. I made this accommodation by taking an insert from my Tenba bag that had Velcro ability and inserted into this bag. This really helped with the organization. I must say I find it odd that with all the hype that these bags are design by photographers, that better organization and consideration is not given to non full size gear with attached grips for at bag at this price point.

My first Think Tank product, chosen because of its this-is-not-a-camera-bag looks. After having used this bag for almost a year now, I can honestly say that this is the best bag I've ever had in over 30 years of photographic experience. I've used it whilst photographing a number of not so friendly public demonstrations, stormy beaches, scorching cities and in subzero temperatures. No problems or disappointments whatsoever. If I ever had to chose a single bag for a war zone assigment, this would be it.

I shopped around online and in stores for a days before deciding on this bag. The price tag was honestly a bit more than I originally wanted to spend, but you do get what you pay for. The first thing you'll notice about this camera bag verses others, is that it is exceptionally constructed. I love the color and feel of the materials used. It organizes your equipment and has a place for everything! I appreciate that it isn't bulky and ugly like the standard stiff camera bags I've owned in the past. I carried this bag cross body for a 10 mile urban photo walk this past weekend and wasn't bothered by the size or weight at all and for the record I'm a female. I would highly recommend this bag!

I been using this bag for about nine months and it holds my Sony A900 with CZ 135/1,8 (hood reversed) just fine. The backside zippered pocket will hold my iPad but you can’t zip it closed. It’s Ok as the pocket itself is tight so the iPad will stay put. I really like the retro soft cotton fabric. Unfortunately, I’ve already grown out of it. Once you start adding gadgets to your kit, it will fill up in no time. Also, I'm no loger sure the soft-sided config is really that desirable after a while. I think I want a bit more firm structure. So, next up will likely be the Sling-O-Matic 10 under the ‘test drive’ program.

A superb bag, that does not scream »Photographer!!!« on sight. Carries my D3, a F5, a couple of lenses, batteries for both cameras and some drinks and food. So it's a perfect bag for short trips, small tours and everyday use. Changing lenses or the camera is a lot quicker and more comfortable than with a bagpack or with a case, while carrying comfort is also superb. Other brands may have similar looking products, but this bag is by far the most reliable and most trusted bag I have ever used. This bag is made to last and you can simply feel its quality when you touch it.
