Features:

	The exterior of each Retrospective shoulder bag is purposefully simple, allowing photographers to inconspicuously blend into their shooting environment.
	The softness and flexibility of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 easily allows a pro size DSLR to be carried in the main compartment with a lens attached, facing downward. The Retrospective 20 is pictured here, containing (left to right): a Canon 5D with battery grip and 24-70 f2.8 attached and a 70-200 f2.8. The Retrospective 20 is actually the tallest bag in the collection, which can accommodate a 70-200 f2.8 lens attached to a pro size DSLR body.
	The taller shape of the Retrospective 20 fits a pro size DSLR with a 70-200 f2.8 lens attached, facing downward.
	Within the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30's main compartment, are two collapsible nylon pockets (one on each side). These pockets are tall enough to fit most flash units or other accessories. A hook-and-loop strap can be used to secure the contents or it can be tucked into the pocket for quicker access.
	The Retrospective 10, 20 and 30 all have an organizer pocket inside the main compartment. It gives photographers enough space for small, but significant, accessories necessary for a successful shoot.
	The expandable pocket(s) on the front of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 can be used to carry a spare pro size DSLR body or other photo gear. A small hook-and-loop flap folds over the top of the pocket to secure its contents. The Retrospective 30 (pictured) features two expandable pockets, while the Retrospective 10 and 20 have only one expandable pocket on the front of the bags.
	The "sound silencers" underneath the main flap are used to suppress the loud tearing sound hook-and-loop makes while opening and closing the bag. Simply release the sound silencer panels and cover the hook-and-loop strips to prevent the hook-and-loop from contacting. A clear business card pocket, for identification and spare cards, is also located under the main flap.
	A wide storage pocket is located on the back of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30. This pocket can be used to carry magazines, newspapers, or other paperwork, depending on the size of the bag.
	Hook-and-loop panels securely fastens the main flap down, keeping valuable photo equipment hidden from view.
	Webbing loops on both sides of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 can be used to carry some smaller pouches on the bag. Alternatively, a carabiner (not included) can be used to quickly clip accessories to the the sides of the bag as well.
	The Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 each have a removable carrying handle for convenience.
	A fully adjustable, canvas strap is integrated into each Retrospective bag. For extra comfort, a breathable cushioned pad slides along the strap for optimum positioning. Sections of non-slip material on the pad helps keep the entire strap on your shoulder.
	The seam-sealed rain cover included with the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 was specially designed to keep the carrying handle and integrated shoulder strap outside the rain cover without compromising protection from the elements. Just got this today and can't speak highly enough of it so far. The ability to store a pro size SLR with attached 70-200 along with other lenses and accessories in such a small profile bag is amazing. And the canvas pinestone version makes it even better.

Really great for photojournalism type work. Very stealthy and very stylish if it fits your taste. Well thought out, intelligent design. Deceptively roomy; I can squeeze my 70-200, D3 with 85 1.4 with hood attached, and a "normal" wide angle zoom (16-35mm), but not a 14-24. Nice build quality, materials, and workmanship. The strap is more comfortable (and larger) than it looks and will allow you to carry it around for hours without discomfort. It's about as slim and low profile as you can get carrying a proSLR.

Love it! I wanted a bag tall enough to accomodate a 1D3 + 70-200 f/2.8 IS AND a 5D2 + 300 f/4 IS upright with 2 additional lenses (say, a 16-35 and 100 macro IS perhaps? Perfect fit with all hoods on and reversed.) It's easy to carry and has an incredibly comfortable shoulder strap. Really like the Pinestone too. Highly recommended.

Love everything about this bag except for two things. 1. The black bags should have the same type of material and the Pinestone and maybe even the same type of finish. 2. The overflap on the outside of the bag is constantly in my way as I am accessing the inside, or trying to put equipment back into the bag.

I love this bag! It is exactly what I wanted, it holds my 40D with a 70-300 lens and 4 other lenses as well - plus all of the other assorted stuff I carry. I love the silencers on the velcro - I photograph plays and concerts and the noise of ripping velcro is distracting. I also love that it does not look like a camera bag. Did I mention, I love this bag!

This is now officially my favorite on the go bag when i want more than just one lens, but don't want the kitchen sink as well. Being able to fit a D700 with 70-200mm attached in such a narrow bag is a godsend. And the color/style makes it look like a bag you wouldnt have anything expensive in(great for travel). My only complaint, and i saw others mention this too. Is the front flaps length. It's just too long and can get in the way at times. I would LOVE if it had an option to detach part of it, or have it roll up in some way.

Just got the bag (pinestone color) 1 week ago. Excellent design, material and workmanship. Spacious as can fit a fx body with 70-200mm lens attached, plus other lens and accessories. Love it!

There is no doubt that this bag is well made, but it just didn't work for me. With the bag slung across my shoulder, I found it very difficult to get my D700 in and out of the bag. The middle storage area kept collapsing requiring one hand to open up the pocket and the other to move the camera in or out. The long flap gets in the way and adds to the problem. I gave the bag two stars because of its lack of functionality. If you need to quickly access your camera while the bag is on your shoulder, you may want to look at other options.

This is the 8th camera bag I've purchased... all the ones before it had some design flaw or were missing something. This bag is probably the last one I'll ever need to buy... its perfect and I LOVE it!! Its a small looking bag that I find easy to carry around... but I was amazed at what I can fit in. I have my Nikon D300 WITH the 70-200 attached... a Sigma 150-500, my 105 macro, the 18-200 and the 12-24. Thats 5 lenses! I've also got a teleconverter, filters, a Cokin holder, batteries, memory cards and a backup device all neatly tucked away in the front pocket.

Excellent design with stealth appearance. Like all the details of the bag including flaps on the side and the velcro silencer. The little side pockets inside is perfect for my Canon 580 flashes. The build quality is solid (same as my Airport International & Urban Disguise). I have my 5D with the 70-200 2.8 lens on in the middle, couple other lenses on both sides, iPad in the front pocket. It's heavy but it's very comfortable to carry.

I just received the pinestone 20. It looks wonderful from a photographers perspective - too casual looking to hold anything valuable. The capacity is great. I can fit in my 5d with grip and attached 70-200 2.8 is II, 24-70 2.8, 16-35 II, 85 1.2 II, and 580ex. I love the attention to detail with this bag as expected from a think tank product. The reason this is the only think tank product I have given anything less than 4 stars is because of the padding. The padding is inadequate even for a working bag. This something surprising for a think tank product. Here is my experience: I just received this bag and proceeded to load up the bag with my 5d with grip and attached 70-200 2.8 is II, 24-70 2.8, 16-35 II, 85 1.2 II, and 580ex. I then put it gently down on my wooden chair to admire it. On putting it down I heard a clunk of my 70-200 against the very thin pads at the bottom of the bag on touching the chair seat. There was no damage to my lens, but I was not happy with a $2500 lens not having adequate protection in a $159 bag. I have never had that problem with any of my think tank bags or any of my other bags to date. I plan to remedy this by adding additional padding to the bottom of the bag to mitigate this issue. I plan on keeping this bag, it's attention to detail and convenience as a easy access shooting bag makes this a keeper. I plan on calling think tank on Monday to express my disappointment with inadequate bottom padding.

As the owner of many of your products and I must say that my new Retrospective 20 is indeed first class workmanship, my only request to Think Tank is it possible for the inside pocket the one recommended for a flash…I feel it is a bit tight for a large shoe strobe,if it were possible a little thicker material for extra protection, in reference to your product photo it shows the strobe with adequate room, maybe mine is a little tighter as I have a very hard time reinserting it after use, resorting to both hands to get it back in.

Design of bag is good and spacious. However, I am very disappointed with the thin base pad and the thin inserts! I don't understand why retrospective bag base pad is so much thinner than UD bags?!

Finally picked up the Pinestone one at Samy's today...Love the build of the bag and all the features..

I had a hard time deciding between the 10 and the 20, but the 20 is perfect for my needs because I wanted to be able carry a bit more gear and still have room for other stuff without having to spend too much time thinking about how I could cram everything in. If I need to, I can carry 90% of the gear I own in this bag (pretty much everything except lightstands/mono/tripod). IMHO in this size, it looks even less conspicuous--sitting next to it in the store, the 10 had a bit more of that telltale boxy/squatty camera bag look. The added height of the 20 gives it more of the profile of an everyday shoulder bag. Others have said that the padding is too thin, but I have not found this to be the case for me--it's enough padding to protect a halfway-decently made lens, and the thinness of the panels means you can carry more stuff. Keep up the great work Think Tank. LowePro, Tarmac et. al make gear that's good enough to get the job done. Your gear gets the job done better, faster and more efficiently.

I've used this bag daily for seven months with a FF Sony. The bag is well-designed and well-built (read the other comments for many details). It is the perfect small bag for a big camera system. I carry my Sony a850 w. vertical grip and 70-400 lens attached, as well as two other FF lenses, a Black Rapid strap, a flash, battery charger, filters, cards, and have a little bit of room to spare. I use the bag to transport my kit. (Working with the bag on one shoulder is possible, but not something to plan to do regularly.) Highly recommended.

I been using this bag for 9 months and love it. It's my daily go-to bag when all I need is my basic kit. I carry a D700 w/24-70mm, 70-200mm, 85mm, and a SB800 with radio triggers. I'm curious about the negative reviews about lack of padding. I really like the heavy material and minimal padding (love the 'look' too). This is my daily kit and have never had any equipment damage or felt it was at risk. But then I guess that's why there are so many different bags on the market.

So completely impressed with the quality and design of this product - Think Tank really dotted all the I's and crossed their T's here. This bag is everything you need it to be. One of the few that looks fashionable too while maintaining all the functionality and techy status. No more dragging the pelican case everywhere.

Great bag, but I rotate my D700 with battery pack 90 degrees from what is shown since the camera with battery pack is taller then its width..

Best bag I've ever owned. Pockets for everything including my iPad. Room enough for a full frame camera with battery grip and big zoom plus two additional full frame lenses. This bag has the most comfortable camera strap/pad I've ever used. On a 12 day tour of 5 national parks I carried this bag everywhere. I love the feel & look of the heavy canvas. It reminds me of the old pony express satchels. Since it doesn't look like a traditional camera bag I felt more secure than with other bags. I highly recommend this bag.

Mine is a pinestone "20". I love its look and feel; it meets the criteria TT describe (discrete etc). Material the bag and shoulder strap uses are absolutely lovely. The way a new pair of 501s used to feel with the knowledge they would only get better with wear. The features of the bag are excellent but the execution of a couple lose that 5th star i wish i could give: The nice (looking) exterior pockets at each end of the bag are useless once there is anything in the bag. Anything small enough to go in them gets lost in the bottom and are impossible to fish out with big hands (and a camera in one of them. I had hoped these would be good for a water bottle which is what i slot into my LP sling bag exterior pocket. the large expanding front pocket will certainly hold a pro body (even two) or a phone book it is so large. Indeed, 3 water bottles. I wish it had a divider so i could put my metal water bottle in and a protected body (as the end pockets won't take the bottle). Also, it would be nice to have the organizer on the inside of the front pocket instead of the main compartment. I don't want to expose my camera gear every time i pull a pen, cell phone or business card. is also hard to get in there with the camera gear in place but the front pocket expands out so well it would be easy. Last but not least, the other (almost) useless pocket is the rear pocket. an iPad fits but makes the bag rigid on the back and therefore uncomfortable. Magazines fit but the crush makes them unreadable and i read them on the iPad anyway (which fits in the front pocket with the water bottle and phone book). What would be great is a zip in the bottom of this back pocket so that when opened it could safely hold the whole bag on the handle of rolling luggage. I love the bag and will buy it again when it has that 5th star.

I allready own several camera bags and found something wrong with everyone of these bags... Now this one... well it is the best I bought so far... D3, 14-24/28-70/70-200, Flash, filters, batteries and other small stuff... it all fits!!!! Ipad in the front compartiment... Most of all: you can still carry it and doesnot hurt your shoulder/back...without looking like a photographer... Thx Guys, this was the one I was waiting for.

I got this as a day shooting bag. It is not a transport bag and I think you'll not enjoy it if you intend it to be one. It is a fabulous shoot bag, easy to work out of, soft to carry, great strap, plenty of space and you can actually get a D3s in and out easily for once. Gripes? Outside end pockets could have been a bit stretchier for getting water bottles in. Velcro to fold the lid flap in half when working maybe? Not much though. All in all - excellent.
