Features:
A The exterior of each Retrospective shoulder bag is purposefully simple, allowing photographers to inconspicuously blend into their shooting environment.
a All the shoulder bags in the Retrospective series are available in two colors, pinestone or black.  Pictured here are the Retrospective 20 in pinestone and the Retrospective Lens Changer 2 in black.
a The softness and flexibility of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 easily allows a pro size DSLR to be carried in the main compartment with a lens attached, facing downward.  The Retrospective 30 is pictured here, containing (left to right):  1.4x TC, 100 f2.8 Macro, 40D with battery grip attached, 17-40 f4 with hood in position, 5D with battery grip and 24-70 f2.8 attached, and a 70-200 f2.8.
a The Retrospective 30 can fit some telephoto zoom lenses attached to a DSLR, facing sideways in the bag.  Pictured here (clockwise from top left):  Canon 430ex flash, 100mm f2.8 Macro, 5D with battery grip attached, 100-400 IS attached to a 5D Mark II with battery grip, and a 24-70 f2.8.
a Within the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30's main compartment, are two collapsible nylon pockets (one on each side).  These pockets are tall enough to fit most flash units or other accessories.  A hook-and-loop strap can be used to secure the contents or it can be tucked into the pocket for quicker access.
a The expandable pocket(s) on the front of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 can be used to carry a spare pro size DSLR body or other photo gear.  A small hook-and-loop flap folds over the top of the pocket to secure its contents.  The Retrospective 30 (pictured) features two expandable pockets, while the Retrospective 10 and 20 have only one expandable pocket on the front of the bags.
a The Retrospective 10, 20 and 30 all have an organizer pocket inside the main compartment.  It gives photographers enough space for small, but significant, accessories necessary for a successful shoot.
a The "sound silencers" underneath the main flap are used to suppress the loud tearing sound hook-and-loop makes while opening and closing the bag.  Simply release the sound silencer panels and cover the hook-and-loop strips to prevent the hook-and-loop from contacting.  A clear business card pocket, for identification and spare cards, is also located under the main flap.
A Hook-and-loop panels securely fastens the main flap down, keeping valuable photo equipment hidden from view.
a A wide storage pocket is located on the back of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30.  This pocket can be used to carry magazines, newspapers, or other paperwork, depending on the size of the bag.
a Webbing loops on both sides of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 can be used to carry some smaller pouches on the bag.  Alternatively, a carabiner (not included) can be used to quickly clip accessories to the the sides of the bag as well.
a Side pockets on both sides of the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 can be used to carry smaller water bottles and will even fit some shoe-mounted strobe units.
a A fully adjustable, canvas strap is integrated into each Retrospective bag.  For extra comfort, a breathable cushioned pad slides along the strap for optimum positioning.  Sections of non-slip material on the pad helps keep the entire strap on your shoulder.
A The Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 each have a removable carrying handle for convenience.
a The seam-sealed rain cover included with the Retrospective 10, 20, and 30 was specially designed to keep the carrying handle and integrated shoulder strap outside the rain cover without compromising protection from the elements.

Absolutely amazing! You can feel the quality and security!

I fell in love with this bag once I saw it displayed here on thinkTANK's website; once I received it in the mail, I literally jumped for joy! The quality is definitely there! I must say that I am 4'11" (short, I know) and this bag looks a tad bit big on me; I suggest that if you are around my height, that you get the Retrospective 20; but, if you have a growing collection, this bag is definitely worth the price and the wait (by "wait", I mean shipping).

On Monday May 17th I received my Retrospective 30 & Retrospective LC2 and was immediately impressed with the build quality but decided not to write this review until I had it out in the field. I loaded the 30 with the following items Nikon D700 with MB-D10 Battery Pack and Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens mounted with shade reversed, SB-800 in flash pouch, Nikon 14-24 2.8, Nikon AF-S Micro 105 2.8G, Nikon 50mm 1.4G, Nikon 70-300 VR (3) extra batteries Pixel pocket rocket and other small accessories and all without the need to use the front pockets and went on my way. Conclusion: This bag does not appear large but is capable of carrying more equipment then most will ever need with style, protection, security and comfort. It also offers one more feature that sets it apart from all other stealth shoulder bags I have tried, it's easy to work out of. I own an embarrassing amount of Think Tank products but for my shoulder bags in the past I stayed with Domke & Billingham, "Times they are a changin"

Recommed anything from TT, always impressive and this bag will not disappoint. Rugged and versatile, it will not disappoint. I have a D700 and the holy trinity, plus a macro 105 that I will be using as my working bag for weddings and events. The bag holds all of this equipment with ease and still has room for more.

Wow! Super bag. Superb craftmanship. Help, this isn't a camera bag...hehe. My new shootout/walk-around bag. I loaded(main compartment) it up with my Sony A550 with battery pack/grip and Sony 70-400G mounted, Sony 70-200 G, Sony 24-70 CZ, Sony HVLF-58AM and various stuff and still, has ample space/room. Unbelievable! It's well worth the expense. Highly recommended!

This makes my 8th Think Tank product - excellent stuff. I freelance in the field & appreciate the build & design quality of all your products. I carry a D3S w/24-70 2.8 attached, D300s w/MB-10 body, 14-24 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 50 1.4. Can't wait to see what you come up with next !!

Best shooting bag I've owned. Easily holds two my two Canon 5D Mk2's, five lenses, two big flashes, and room for plenty of extras. I'm selling my other bags. I got this for shooting and the Urban Disguise for travel & shooting on the road. Both are great bags and they cover ALL the bases.

I love love love this bag!! I'm able to fit my Nikon D300, Nikon D40, 85mm Micro VR, 18-55mm, 55-200mm VR, and my trusty 50mm 1.8 (with more room to spare)! I absolutely love the raincoat and all of the extra pockets that this bag offers! Oh, and thhe pinestone is to die for! I'm thinking about buying the Retrospective 20 and 10 (just for fun)!

just bought it! functionable, good looking and tough! great job think tank!

Terrific bag. Holds heaps of gear, inconspicuously. Very comfortable and very well made. Bye-Bye Domke and a couple of others.

I travel extensively, worldwide for my work, and I photograph casually when I have spare time. The best part about this bag is that the inside front accessory pocket will fit a 13" laptop perfectly (in my case a Sony Z11), and leave lots of room for my Sony A900 and a couple of Zeiss lenses. I feel much better travelling in Africa with this bag - the Pinestone fabric looks almost like canvas - very discrete. A superbly built bag, and for me, the best that I have found so far for travelling.

My first Retrospective 30, after lots of Domke's and one Crumpler but after three weeks I still haven't found a way to get my gear in it. Excellent quality but the sizes are not practical. Sorry, but I'm afraid the Crumpler is comming back from the attic.

I was looking for a nappy bag for my fourth kid. Then I thought why I don't find another partitioned bag to contain nappies and baby stuffs and at once I can use it as my fifth camera bag ? Hey,,, I'm not joking, its true. This is my fifth camera bag that then come as my most favorite. I juts fall in love with this bag after watching Jared Pollin's review (FroKnowsPhoto), ordered it, and use it with my crumpler 7 million dollar as an alternative. The bag conveniently swallows my nikon d700 w/ 24-70 f/2.8 lense attached, nikon 70-200 mm f/2.8, nikon 50mm f/1.4 prime lense and a d90 body. Still have heap of rooms to contain my stuffs (baby stuffs ??? Oh no,,, now I think I will not allow any stains of milk and baby dirt touch the bag). I'm not a professional photographer. I'm just a photo enthusiast who like to photograph travels and my children activities.

Best camera bag I've ever owned. Holds my Canon 7D with 100mm attached, plus 40 oz water bottle, 20 oz shake bottle, school notebook, and my lunch! Yes, it's with me all day lol. I posted a full review with photos on Flickr.

This bag was only meant to be a companion for me and my dslr when I bought it. Now, about six month later, it goes everywhere with me. It goes to university, it says hello to my friends, it hugs my 13'' laptop and it is my cupboard when I am on the way. And it secures my 5D and R8 as it should. It's a joy to use such a well designed and high quality product. Please keep it up TT!

I really hate to admit how many camera bags I have purchased over the past 30 years, always trying to find that perfect combination of function, protection and comfort. Unlike many of the reviewers here, I still shoot film and carry two Nikon F5 bodies in this bag along with an SB-23 flash, 50mm F/1.4, 80-200mm, 25-55mm, 55mm Micro-Nikkor, batteries, filters, film, etc. The 30 swallows everything nicely and believe it or not, still has room to stow my trusty F4s body w/o lens! That's three pro bodies!! The strap is comfortable and unlike many other bags I have owned, you can actually WORK out of this bag on the fly! Buy this bag!!

Best bag, I've ever had!

I've been using this fantastic bag for a few months now and I'm still amazed at how well it works and how well it is made. Even when I carry it loaded up with two camera houses and double flashes it does not feel like your carrying that much gear. The fabric is great but I'm thankful for the rain cover since the bag can become kind of "water logged" if it pours a lot.I've been singing the bags praise for my colleagues at the news paper I work for and quite a few Domke bags are lying around empty at the photo desk. Mine is one of them. After getting this bag I've already gotten the Artificial Intelligence laptop bag. I would like to try the Shape shifter backpack for all day photo assignments but it's very hard to get a good look at here in Finland.

Discreet, this almost bottomless carrier does just what I want from a camera bag. My favourite features? The possibility of being able to avoid the ripping sound of velcro being opened during a wedding ceremony when I have to look for something in the bag and the shoulder strap. This is the first time that I have a bag which is not permanently trying to slip off my shoulder - a very big plus!!!

As a photographer taking photos in a military environment this bag is brilliant. Holds all the kit when mobility is paramount. Keeps my Nikon's safe. My only suggestion is that if it were two inches deeper, from base to lid, it would be more comfortable when carrying a Nikon 80-200 F2.8 and Body. Just a suggestion. Otherwise it is great. The Pine colour compliments camoflage etc. Great product from a great conmpany that supports us well in the United Kingdom
