Feature #1 Perfectly suited for standard DSLRs with a pocket for a full-size iPad or 12” MacBook Air
1a The exterior of each Retrospective shoulder bag is purposefully simple, allowing photographers to inconspicuously blend into their shooting environment.
70 - 200 The Retrospective 7 has the interior height to accommodate a 70 - 200 f/2.8. Shown left to right is a Nikon 70 - 200 f/2.8 VRII, Nikon D7000 attached to a 24 - 70 f/2.8 and a Nikon SB-900 speedlight.
side rail The Retrospective bags allow you to attach some of our Modular and Skin gear pouches to increase the capacity of the bag (Sold Separately). Shown is the Retrospective 7 in Slate Blue with a Skin Strobe V2.0 attached. Inside of the Skin Strobe V2.0 is a Nikon SB-900.
Feature #3 A fully adjustable, canvas strap is integrated into each Retrospective bag. For extra comfort, a breathable cushioned pad slides along the strap for optimum positioning. Sections of non-slip material on the pad helps keep the entire strap on your shoulder.
Feature #4

The Retrospective series each have a removable carrying handle for convenience.

Feature #5

The seam-sealed rain cover included with the Retrospective series was specially designed to keep the carrying handle and integrated shoulder strap outside the rain cover without compromising protection from the elements.

1b All the shoulder bags in the Retrospective series are available in three colors, Pinestone, Slate blue or black.
Feature #2 The "sound silencers" underneath the main flap are used to suppress the loud tearing sound hook-and-loop makes while opening and closing the bag. Simply release the sound silencer panels and cover the hook-and-loop strips to prevent the hook-and-loop from contacting. A clear business card pocket, for identification and spare cards, is also located under the main flap.

The softness and flexibility of the Retrospective series easily allows a pro size DSLR to be carried in the main compartment with a lens attached, facing downward. The Retrospective 7 is pictured here, containing (left to right): a Canon 28 - 135, Canon 5D attached to a 100 mm macro, 580EXII flash.

The Retrospective series bags all have a zippered organizer pocket inside the main compartment. It gives photographers enough space for small, but significant, accessories necessary for a successful shoot.

second interior pocket A second interior pocket holds pens, maps, additional business cards and has a convenient hook and loop closure.
exterior pocket Lift up the main flap to reveal a spacious exterior pocket. This pocket is large enough to carry a DSLR body or a number of other accessories.
1d Within the Retrospective's main compartment, are two collapsible nylon pockets (one on each side). These pockets are tall enough to fit most flash units or other accessories. A hook-and-loop strap can be used to secure the contents or it can be tucked into the pocket for quicker access.
hook and loop Hook-and-loop panels securely fastens the main flap down, keeping valuable photo equipment hidden from view.

I just got this bag before i left on a long road trip. I have several other thinktank bags but i needed something small that would still accommodate my MacBook Air. Turns out i was able to fit both the MBA & my ipad in the back pocket. It worked out great. It has the quality you would expect from TT and great functionality. I had my 5D, a 50mm, 16-35 & a 135mm plus batteries, charger and headphones. I absolutely love this bag.

My first thinktank bag! I have several shoulder bags before this one but really LOVE this bag since bring n using iPad for qucky reviewing and editng photo on the go. Perfectly fit with my daily travelling. Light enough to carry along. Can accomodate my 5DMK2 with grip. 70-200mm 2.8; 24-70mm or 24-105mm. And 580ex2 Flashgun. Like the fabric, and plenty front pocket space to carry my memory card, remote, and several other stuffs. Highly Recommend this bag!

This is my second Retrospective bag. The first one was the 20. The 20 holds a Nikon D800, 70-200, 14-24 and 24-70, along with a large strobe unit. But I don't need to carry the entire arsenal most of the time, The Retrospective 7 is a great go-to bag for the D800, 24-70, 85 mm and 105 mm. I can mix up lenses, for example, swap the 105 for the 14-24 or carry the flash instead of a lens. Even though it is carrying a lot of gear, it doesn't call attention to itself. Kudos to the designers.

My second shoulder bag after my Crumpler. I am in love with this bag. Fits my 60D + 70-200 + 10-22 + Rode Videomic Pro. In fact, If I wanted to, I could even squeeze in my flash and my nifty fifty! Very comfortable too, just the perfect amount of padding. I just love the extra compartments and the fact that I could put in an 11" Macbook Air. Awesome bag.

After use for several months now the Think Tank retrospective 7 is a disappointment for me. The side pockets are so small that they are unusuable. The inner pockets are difficult to reach when your camera and lenses are in the back. My biggest problem was that the bag keeps falling over al time, you have to put it on his back or else you have the risk you damage your equipment when falling. It's a bag for a small camera and lens and definitly not a pro bag in my opinion. That's a shame because the build quality and carrying comfort is good.

My favorite bag when I want to go light which means a Canon 6D with 24-70mm, 580ex II speedlight, 70-300mm, extra battery. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tablet compartment fits my new Surface Pro 3 very neatly including the pen and Type Cover. Highly recommended!
