I (petite female) used the shoulder harness to carry my very-heavy Urban Disguise 40 to Paris and Dublin. I didn't use it as a walk-around bag but rather for transit to/from airports, hotels, and home. The harness made all the difference in the world. I could still carry a purse and pull my suitcase without really noticing the bag on my back. The harness is surprisingly comfortable and distributes the weight well. My husband had a heavy briefcase with only a shoulder strap and he was quite uncomfortable lugging it around. The only downside is that you can't easily get into the bag while the harness is attached, so I wouldn't recommend this if you need easy access while out shooting.

Indispensable for carrying the Urban Disguise through airports. I carry a 1D, 70-200, 28-70, 16-35, 550EX + battery pack as well as a half a dozen magazines and an assortment of cables. It gets heavy and the shoulder straps make lugging it around much easier. Only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's not padded. I don't know if padding would help any but I bet it can't hurt. Now I gotta buy another 'cause during a recent move I can't find mine. Carrying all that on a shoulder alone sucks.

I found this item a bit hard to use and is the only item I've ever purchased from ThinkTank that I was not 100% pleased with. I tried to use it once and said forget it. I've never used it. Workmanship is fantastic.
