One day trekking to Laguna Torre Glacier in El Chalten, Patagonia. It was a 12 hour trek to visit the glacier and go ice climbing. The bag weighed 14 kilos with all the rain gear, food, water and full camera equipment. It was so full that I was afraid it would explode. We had to cross a river on a single rope pulling yourself manually, walking long stretches steep uphill and downhill on difficult terrain. Although the backpack was heavy, the comfort of carrying it was a delight, the waistband is comfortable, the shoulder straps never get irritated, all in all it was worth carrying the stuff.

"A lot of my work for ski companies and ski magazine involves using a snowmobile to access the backcountry. I have my Canon 1D MKIII and a 24-105 in the change up all the time on my front just in case in encounter a situation where i need a camera in a hurry. It also helps when we are scouting lines and areas for people to ski as I can record every area we check out without having to take my main pack off. I also find it helps to counter balance the weight of my main pack which is usually very heavy." --Dan Carr

(A self image displaying some of the Think Tank Photo items we use.) When I'm out and about, I use the Digital Holster Bag to carry the head unit and performance lens, and Lens Changer Bag for a secondary lens. Both have allowed a great deal of ease to balance and maneuverability while offsetting the weight. Thanks Think Tank Photo!

While shooting an aerial survey for the United States Army in South Korea the belly dancer setup with the modular system was invaluable. Accompanied by the Speed Racer bag I was able to carry all my gear with no problems while shooting from the side of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter 300 ft off the deck. On the day of the shoot I spent about 8 hr in the sir with the door wide open and never once worried about my pouches opening up from the wind.
