Overall Product Rating:

For me, the best Think Tank shoulder bag ever! Lightweight but sturdy. I had the Retro 30 black - excellent, but a little to much for my gear. Then I switched to Retro 7 blue slate to implement my tablet - very very good again, but a little on the heavy side. Then heard about the new City Walker series, bought the 20 in black and - never looked back since. The City Walker 20 is my favorite Think Tank bag: perfectly fitted to hold my D600 plus my 3 small f1.8 primes, occasionally plus a mounted 24-85 VR zoom, plus bits and pieces, filters, remote release, sunglasses, wallet, flash, phone, tablet and so on, depending on what you like to carry around. But be sure: there will be room enough to take it all.

I carried this bag for five days all over Walt Disney World and I have to say it was an excellent performer. I carried a Canon 7d, Tamron 18-270mm, Lensbaby Composer Pro, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f2.8, 2x Pocketwizard Plus III, 580exII, Rogue Flashbender, Stofen Omnibounce, Demb Flash Card, and assorted accessories easily. There are a couple of key downsides however. First, an easy access pass through zipper in the main flap would make things extremely convenient. Second, the padding on the bottom of the bag is much too thin for my comfort level. The next generation of this bag should improve this. Third, giving up storage space to carry the included rain cover is a bit of a let down. There should be a dedicated, albeit small and thin, pocket just for the cover. The space it takes up in the bag could be much better occupied by a lens. All in all however, 5 days of Disney (carrying strap on the opposite shoulder is a must for all day carrying) and this bag is the best I've ever used. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a top quality messenger bag that can hold far more than you would initially expect.

I really love this bag! Not only is it a great way to have my DSLR with me at all times - perfect for day trips into the city, but it's also a fantastic bag for air travel. I carry a Canon 6D, 16-35mm zoom, and the bag has room for two extra lenses, including the white 70-200mm or 100-400mm. It has a decent slot for an iPad, and a good size front pocket. It actually has several hidden areas for storage: the insert is rounded and the back is rectangular, which creates pockets in the corners. There are also two pockets at the ends. And there's a slot along the front, between the insert and the bag, that will actually take an iPad. For plane trips this bag holds everything I need. I carry my 6D with the 16-35mm lens attached. This almost reaches the bottom of the bag, but not quite. So I leave the rain cover at the bottom, and the lens sits on top of it. This is a good solution for 'where to stash the rain cover', and gives a little more padding. My only gripe is the velcro on the outer flap. Velcro's great for certain things, but a silent magnetic buckle would have been much better.

This bag I love. Quality with LIGHTNESS! Use it all oner SE Asia for 2 months. Fits great on top of my carry on for air travel. The zip pocket in the flap great for passport, visa etc. I carry Canon 5d lll+70-200 F4+85/1.8, 35/f4,50/f1.4 with room to spare. The Velco works great when not clipped for extra security. The rubberized grip on the shoulder pad is coming off, no big deal but?

I'm a big time biker in NYC (and photography) and have very specific needs on what I want in a messenger bag. I know this is designed as a camera bag but for me, this is the ultimate general messenger bag for my everyday use. I checked out nearly 100 bags before I settled on this one. Thanks ThinkTank, don't change a thing!

I use this bag every day. It's best suited on foot, not biking, because it puts you off balance. Backpacks are better for biking. It's light enough to be barely there with a light load, and strong enough to lug everything I can trow at it. The Sound Silencer flaps are a welcome option. I never use the velcro. The clip is strong and adjustable. If it was larger I think it would be more ergonomic but I don't care that much. It's just a little small and fumbly — especially with gloves. I recommend that the product designer's keep logos on the inside of the bag. To make the bag more stealth, I used a seam ripper and removed all visible logos. When a fellow photographer asked me "Hey I love your bag, which one is it?" I looked inside hoping for a reminder but couldn't find anything. One star removed because the rubber grips on the shoulder strap fall off quickly with daily use. I'd rather pay less and not have the grips at all. My Daily Haul: - 35mm DSLR Body - 135mm f/2 - 20mm f/2.8 - Small Flash - Flash Gels - Assorted Lens Filters - Spare Battery - Remote Trigger - Card Reader - LED Flashlight - Gloves - Sunglasses - Earplugs - Memory Cards - Notebook - Pens & Sharpies - Keycards - Lens Cloths - Business Cards - Headphones - Phone Cable - Gray Card & Color Checker - Wadded Plastic Bag - Small Roll, Gaffer's Tape - Binder Clips - Takeout Menus On heavier days I'll throw in another flash, lens, or MacBook Pro. It really holds a lot if you get creative. Thanks for the great bag. Highly recommended.
