I gain so much peace from photographing nature. I hope people can feel the peace from my works.
I was born in Taiwan and moved to United States in 1998. In 2011 I started using a DSLR camera and mainly focussed on floral and macro photography, I also like landscape photography.
The garden is my classroom, I spend most of my time capturing the beauty of plants. In 2015, I decided to participate in the world's largest garden photography contest, IGPOTY (International Garden Photographer of the Year) and won two awards.
One category is macro, and the other is beautiful garden group.
The awards encourage me so much, so I continued to put more effort in to being a professional floral photographer.
The following year, 2016, I won another award when I participated in IGPOTY, this time in the Wildflowers Landscape category.
Most recently, I have won another two awards in International Garden Photographer of the Year!
I was invited to receive the awards in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in England at the spring of last year. The winning photograph will be displayed at the European world heritages.
I spend so much time in the garden photographing, no matter what kind of weather, and enjoy it very much. I'm so thankful for Mother Nature! Photography gave me the opportunity to enjoy the selfless beauty at any time. By the season changes, I realised from the plant lifecycle is so short, just like human. Enjoy it when you can, and don't feel sad when it's gone. Because it's part of life.
I am happy to share what I see with poeple who also appreciate.
Now I start teaching more people how to use camera to record the beauty sround them.
