I had been looking for something I could use as a 'drop' bag I could attache to my belt or the waist belt of a pack. Looked at different tactical suppliers, outdoor stores, hunting & fishing establishments but never could find just what I wanted. While looking at something else on the ThinkTank web site (the flash mob to be exact) I ran across the Skin 50 v3.0. Looked at all the images and the measurements and thought "this might work". Put off the purchase for a while, but kept coming back to it. Finally figured, it's not that expensive, just get it. If it doesn't work, you can always use it for something else. I've used it now on three different occasions, twice just attached to my belt and once attached to the waist strap of a holster type camera bag. It works! Easy on, easy off. I can move it around a little on my belt, or a lot on a backpack waist belt with no problem. As a 'drop' bag, it's great. Drop in lens caps and I never have to remember which pocket of my photo vest or pants pocket the cap in in. It's also large enough to use to carry a single wide angle zoom, making lens changes easier, and a loupe. Not too wide or deep, easy open, easy close and with the design ThinkTank has for attachment, I will never have to worry about it coming loose and following off. I've got lots (according to my significant other, too many) ThinkTank bags, but never any of their accessory items. The Skin 50 is as well made as my retrospective shoulder bags, roller bags, everything I've ever purchased from ThinkTank or Mindshift. Just a lucky happenstance I ran across it but I'm glad I did. It is going to work well for my desert landscape photo hikes. Good quality, great price. Think about the Skin 50 v3.0 if you need a smaller bag to attache to your hiking kit.

Love Think Tank!
Had V 1.0 and 2.0 and now have 3.0. Love the gear. Love the build quality.

Perfect little bags
These 3 new Skin 50’s were a welcome addition to my kit. They were perfect to carrying my primes for outdoor evening concert and graduations.

Photographers must have!
I’ve been shooting for years, and as someone who shoots a lot outside, traveling light and convenient is a big goal, I can never go back walking around with a backpack after I discovered the belt and the pouches system, it is my go-to carry my equipment system! I love it! Makes me move better, easier and faster access to lenses and other equipment.
