Think Tank Photo’s FPV Video Named Winner by D.C. Drone Film Festival

Our “The Session Backpack” was named best short video by the D.C. Drone Film Festival.  Produced by Think Tank co-founder Kurt Rogers, this video follows renowned FPV racer Travis "Moke" McIntyre as he takes Think Tank’s new FPV Session backpack through its paces.

“Nothing is more imaginative and experimental than creating videos using your unmanned aircraft system,” said the film festival’s judges.  Projects were submitted from around the world, but only six films were selected to be showcased during the National Drone Show in Washington, D.C.

The video’s award-winning producer, Kurt Rogers, is one of the imaging industry’s leading evangelists. He contributes his vast talents to multimedia productions featured at tradeshows, in retail stores, on websites and through social media outlets. When asked, “What’s next in photography?” Kurt believes that storytelling will never go away. Whether it’s a still image, a full-length feature film, or a short video, it’s about the moment when all the elements all come together to create magic.

The product featured in the video, Think Tank’s FPV Sessions backpack allows drone pilots to strap two to three racing drones to the front for quick access, while storing two to three more neatly inside for safe travel. The backpack’s interior also fits a radio transmitter, FPV goggles, up to 15 batteries, antenna, props, spare parts, a small to medium tripod and a water bottle. With all their gear organized neatly in the backpack, drone pilots can focus on racing rather than managing their gear.
